Headlight question
First off, new to the board, the girlfriend just bought a blue 03 coupe and ready to do cosmetically mod it...Been looking at black housing headlights online and like a few I have found BUT I have factory HID's and all the ones I've found are for the halogen models...where can I find some black housing lights that will accommodate the factory HIDs??? Also, I am not spending the money on the CInCity or that other company, that's too damn much.
I've contemplated on buying a used set of stock lights and taking them apart and doing my own stuff on the inside...If I do that, what is the best temp to set the oven to get them to come loose...Thanks in advance.

cincity quoted me $650 for a housing paint job, sti lens mod, and angel eye setup...way too much $$$$$$$ plus shipping!
lightwerkz quoted $180 for the paint job, $120 for sti lens mod, and $180 more for angel eyes. better prices but still not too cheap.
I believe the oven should be set to 250 degrees. I also read using a heat gun is another way to seperate the housing from the lens but be careful not to melt the plastic. I would suggest buying a guinnea pig headlight from a junkyard and trying it on that before ruining your lights. I'm contemplating this mod myself but I'm going to try it on a jyd light first and seal it back up to see if it holds. I don't have $1000 laying around to buy new lights for my 07 Z if something goes wrong.

How much did he charge you? Where is TTRANK based out of?
Are those Tenzo Type M's? What size and offset?

Thanks for the input...I just found a perfect how-to on the Hayabusa board, I'm about to tear mine down this winter, modding the headlight is one of the things I'm going to do it since I have a spare light around...If that turns out nice then I'll do the car. One of the other members on here pm'd me with a spare set of OEM Heads with Hids. I'm prob going to get those and try this myself.
Redline, normally not a fan of red, but your car is f'n sweet!

We both just busted out...cause it's true
I want the 06-08's but they are EXPENSIVE even at my cost...We just got an 06 drop top at work, but I think some flags go up if they see it in the shop with the front end off of her car and works car off and me going to town with tools...LOL
Tail lights are cake to swap
