I've had my roof done for about 3 months now, it holds up really well considering how many pressure wash car washes I do.

Not a PDIP fan but it does look better.
Since you are taking the economic approach to
your mods,I suggest putting vinyl overlays(smoke)on your
side reflectors to complete the look. Also,PDIP the front
emblem or add inserts (CF?).
Goes to show how a fairly simple mod can change the look
of your car...makes it look lower and wider.

I tried to do the badges but there was something on them that caused them to come out terrible. A friend suggested pulling them off and dipping then putting them back on. Im going to just buy smoked reflectors.

Plastidip will last for a while. one thing to do is wax it after it dries. That will make a coating over it that wont change the color or affect the peeling ability.

I had to take the PD off of them. Read above "I tried" they came out bad. it just wouldn't stick to them.

I really need to do this to my car. That plastic piece is so faded on my car and looks so ugly. I tried using the "back to black" or but it didn't work as much as I'd liked. Looks clean! Great use of plastidip.

I had the same problem. Not big on Plastidip.
I used CF(real) mirror base covers. They look great.
Very durable.Add B-pillar covers and you have a better look.

Dont dip the handles you use them too much and a lot of touching them and running your fingers on them you'll be re dipping them every time you turn around lol.....(learned this the hard way). Paint em, I painted mine turned out great and I use em daily of course....My roof is dipped and so are the tops of the spoiler and mirror caps.

You can pick up paint designed for the black plastic parts on your car at most auto parts store. I pickup a can at advance auto. It also works great for the same area around the mirrors. All though it does look like PD works well too.

I remember you buying that Z. Did you pull the ugly stripes off the hood?

I have actually had good luck painting things that would be touched. Dip will most likely have to touched up at least once a year anyways.

I love black roofs but im still unsure if i wanna do it. If i do it will probably be glossed.
