Plasti-Dip Questions & Projects Thread
i think PlastiDip is the way to go...Ill take some pictures of the my bumper and side skirts. I know it may be a pain to take off...but if i can handle detailing her for 3-4 hours on my weekend then i can take some plasti dip off. plus that tape is a pain in the *** to stick like some of you say.
Dude don't use plasti dip. Not only will you have to mask off the whole rest of the ENTIRE car, but it will NOT come off as easily as you think. If you get over spray on your car, then break out the clay bar and call it a day. But it's going to get in the engine bay through the grill and places you don't want it.
Has anyone done this to an Interlagos Fire? It looks really nice and clean but I'm curious how it would look on a different color and if it's worth doing myself
Edit: did it last night. Had some serious issues with the 350z badge lettering and am going to have to do it again, probably going to redo the handles as well but even when they aren't done fantastically it still looks great I think.

So I did my handles quite a while ago and love how they turned out. Also did the bottom lip of my front bumper and its held up perfectly (especially for its location!). The only negative I find on the plasti-dip is how cloth and towels leave quite a bit of felt stuck to it. Have you had any issues like this with your whole car being done? Maybe I just need to dry it with a shamy or something instead.

It's similar to vinyl. It just peels off. Go to youtube and search "plasti dip your car" and "plasti dip removal". There's a company that bundles a couple gallons of the dip and some thinner and a spray gun to do your whole car but I don't think I can mention who they are if they aren't a site supporter/vendor. Some googling will give you results though.
