03 Touring with halogen setup

03 Touring with halogen setup
I bought my Z back in March and was told by the dealership they replaced the headlights. My first thought was they replaced the bulbs. It didn't phase me to ask why (it was the one thing I didn't check before I bought it). So as I brought it home and did research, it has DEPO aftermarket halogen headlight assemblies, not the oem hid assemblies. I can see the markings on the headlight lens themselves (it says H1 and H7 for the bulb sizes). I assume the hid headlights were hazed over, which I see is a common thing. I've known this since then but kept forgetting to ask my question.
Seeing how my Touring (leather, bose, cruise control, etc.) came with oem hid headlights, did the dealership possibly swap out the harnesses? Is this possible?
I stored my Z for the winter so I can't get into this project until April. Just wondering if someone can give me some direction or on this. I am looking to upgrade to 06+ headlights at some point. And I know the plugs for halogen (6 pin) and xenon (8 pin) are different.
pic of headlight included. you can make out the marking on the headlight if you look close enough.

8 pin harness
So I finally got around to looking at my lights since I was thinking about them lately, and it's what I thought the dealership did. They kept the 8 pin harness on my Touring model and just swapped out the 6 pin harness on the aftermarket halogen headlight. As you can see from the photos, they oriented the wires accordingly to make it work with the car's existing 8 pin harness. I can thank other threads of similar situations to solving my issue. Hopefully this can be of some use to someone who runs into the same dilemma as I did.
I don't have to worry about using a HID kit now. I can just PNP with some 06+ headlights.
Mods, you can close my thread if need be.

Nice!
Though where is the 7th wire...? In your 8 pin connector, there should be 7 wires. They might have took one of them off and either left it dangling or spliced it with the other ground.
Try to see if your new headlights are PNP. If not, you'll know why. Glad I could be of help.
