Ok, I have looked and looked. I know there is ALOT of discussion but I cant find the answer I am looking for! I have a 04 with HID's and want Bi-Xenon 06+ lights. My issue is the harness!! If I get 06+ Assembly only with no wiring I do not see how they can be plug and play as the harness is different. The 04 has wiring for seperate highbeam and alot more wires. What do I do??

They are plug and play my friend, i have an 04 and i bought the 06 headlights and they plug right in without cutting or splicing any wires harness...
Unless your z made in china and they come with extra harness that we don't know of...

Btw: if you look closely, all that wires/plugs route into the main plug and that plug is go into the plug on the car.. The 06 headlight wiring is different ,but the wires are also routed into 1 plug and you just plug that into the main...

 

When you bought them, did you get the headlight assembly WITH a harness attached or use your old harness??

i bought them a month ago when i got the z, everything came with the lights, the only thing doesn't come with is the ballast/ignitor HID bulbs.. you transfer your stock one to the new headlight....

 

When I bought mine new, it was from West Covina Nissan... www.thenismoshop.com
Everything came on them, and they were plug and play. Bulbs, ballasts, everything... straight out of an OEM NISSAN box.

Keep in mind, the bixenon uses D2S, the old headlights use D2R.

 

May I ask were you got your lights? The issue I have is I found some moded lights but they are the assembly ONLY no wires at all, and Nissan does not sell just the headlight harness. I know when you buy the assembly from thenizzmo or thezstore they come with it all, but the ones i am looking at do not!

WOW...Those were what I was looking at!! So they come with the wiring and lens?!? You just tranfer ballest and ignighter??? The reason I was going haywire about this is I have e-mailed and called the company about these and they say ONLY assymbly NO WIRING...

 

The headlights come with NO Back cover! , No Ballast! , hid wire igniter, and no breathing tube.

 

The wiring is part of the headlight, the only thing that don't come with is the back cover /Ballast/ignitor" use your own"
Ok, let make it short and easy for you to understand......
If you buy these headlights ,you will need the following items:
1 :The back cover for the headlight( i got them from courtesy nissan)
2 :You need the D2S bulbs ( Ebay: 30 a pair free shipping, might be cheaper,just search)
3: Transfer your Ballast/Ignitor to the new headlight.....

4: Keep it stock if you still don't get it...

The 03-05 cover is on the left and the 06-08 is on the right

I wasn't able to find an answer through searching, and since there is another 06 headlight thread I figured I'd jump on board here.

Does anyone know if 06 headlights work on Canadian 03-05 Z(ed)s? Our daytime running lights on 03s are the highbeam running at 60% power. How would that work on the 06 light?

 

Yes the 06's work, although mine was an american car brought up here, i cannot imagine the US and canadian being any different other than the speedo face etc...they will plug right in if you have anything other than an 03-05 base model Z (no cruise control,tcs etc) Although my drl's which were the small parking bulbs,were wired in to ignition crank fuse, took 2 mins to pull it out and have reg lights, off when running unless you turn the switch normally, To answer your question, i would imagine the same way
