Default 06 350z swap to 03 tail lights ?

Well basically my buddy is selling his 06 Z and as a result he is willing to give me his LED tail lights in exchange for my 03 lights since he is getting rid of the car anyways. I know I can do a swap on mine to LEDs but can he put the 03 lights on his 06 ?
Thanks for your help

1. Swap taillights.
2. Install taillights.

You'll have no problems swapping between years.

Also, detailed instructions:

Default OEM LED tail light problem??

Ok so I installed a set of led tail lights to the car. But the driver side tail light leds seem a bit more red than the passenger's side leds... Its not noticable but if you tweek on the lights from a back up center distance you can tell the driver light is a bit more red. Don't get me wrong they are super bright and definately blow the older tail lights out of the pond.
But has anybody experienced this or is it just my sicc mind lol
Whats the life time of these leds on the oem tail lights?
Thank you for your time

Could just be the angle at which you're viewing them. Try viewing them from a further distance.

I did, trust me. I was straight mad ******* the Z. Lol
But yeah the passenger leds seem less pure red.
But then again thats if you try to tweek for that issue.
I think anybody else would not notice..I think. But it's weird.
The world is not perfect.. But I expect my $80 oem led tail lights to be lol

Are these OEM LED tail lights or aftermarket? Aftermarket LED lights suffer from poor quality control....

Either way, check voltage at the connectors on both sides.

yeah good point,, i paid alot more than 80 bucks each for my OEM leds.. are u talking about OEM "STYLE" led taillights?

Those wreak havoc on our cars btw. ANY AFTERMARKET TAILLIGHT IS A NO NO.

Often they melt, and they pull the wrong current from the car too, and cause ECU issues w the ABS and accelleration.. lots of threads on it. Last thing on the lsit to worry about will be the brightness difference.

I bought them of craigslist here in San Diego for $80 the set. Yup authentic OEM LED tail lights in perfect condition. I felt blessed for getting that deal. Lol
But yeah you think I should clean the connectors?

OEM reliability always.
But yeah I already cleaned connectors and nothing.
I will check voltage. I know its a no biggie but I just want them to look the same.

I think I know what the problem is.. Either i need to buff out the tail light just a little bit or its a lil fogged up inside.
