The best way to install a harness?
How is everyone else installing harnesses? I've never put them in before and the only company that sells rails is like $600?!
Have you guys just drilled holes and installed hoops?

If you only do occasional track events like drivers schools you can forgo a roll bar.
I replaced the two bolts that anchor the belt and receiver with eye bolts supplied with my 5 point harness belts. This allows you to unsnap the lapbelts after a track session and have complete use of the oem belts.
The shoulder belts hook up very well to the rear strut brace.

The fitment and design is critical. Plus the angles at the b pillers is critical to make the bar look right. Then the bar has to be solid to provide the correct stiffness in the event of an accident. We have a few black ones in stock and have been track tested.

it all boils down to......where are you going to wear them? if you only intend to wear them at the track, then a harness bar is fine, BUT if you intend to wear them all the time (as i do) then go with the 4 point. if you roll it with just a bar?!?!
im not even going to put my harnesses in UNTILL my cage is in!!

I did this, and I'm very happy with it. Total cost was about $800, including Schroth harnesses. Sparco or Simpson belts would have cost about $200 less (total).
I haven't decided about a roll bar yet, although I'm thinking about getting a Kirk bar.
