Default Polyurethane Front Bumpers and Quick Release Fasteners?

I picked up a nismo v2 polyurethane bumper recently and am about to have a paint shop paint it for me. my question though is if anyone is running any sort of quick release on their polyurethane bumper because i may need to remove it to get in and out of my driveway. I would assume it would work however the bumper is quite heavy. also im not sure about drilling into it if it would start to sag over time from the weight on the quick release or not. thanks

I have looked into doing the same thing

I don't see it being an issue anyway though since the fenders do not hold most of the weight of the bumper, the center clips and undertray both do.

Here is an older thread with several examples that people have done:

I have been looking into the same thing when I get my aerosync bumper, and I even looked at the thread that Waizz posted. A lot of the latches people are using honestly look like they're from home depot for tool boxes but I'm not sure. I have friends that use tool box latches but those are all dedicated drift cars so looks isn't a big deal to them. I even have friends that use the passwordJDM ones, and while they do hold it sturdily they aren't as sturdy as actually latches. I'm pretty undecided one which one to go with as you can tell. I'll probably just end up parking my car outside so I don't run into the drive way problem.

i dont drift or anything, my cars just low and i have a shitty driveway. at the end of it i have a small incline and then another incline when i get onto the street. i'd rather not have my bumper ripping off or messing up the paint just to get out of my house so i may have to go with latches to ensure its secured to the fender

if you do the clips correclty and in the right spots you will have no issues just remember you really only get one shot at the drilling so take tyou time and make sure everything is lined up.

Man,maybe its just me..but I find it unbelievable for someone having to
remove their bumper to get out of their driveway.
Either move, park your car in another space or,get another car.

I would not leave my car on the street overnight. Taking off a bumper is easy as it is. With a quick release its cake. It's worth it as long as your happy with your car,

I believe those are perfectly fine as long as you're using the OEM center clips and bolts for the undertray as well.

+1 on some of the latches not looking too good, there are a few flush mount latches that I actually want to use. Zack from Rare JDM uses a pretty low-key flush mount system that I would like to use as well:

If you're planning on using it everyday then you will definitely need to spring for the higher quality latches.

This is not really helping dude, tons of people use quick releases

I live in an area near the beach that all the houses have bad driveways from all the hills. By lowering my car I only made this problem worse

i dont think parking on the street is logical for me as my driveway is probably 75+ feet long where there is a nice carport for me to park under. I could get out of my driveway without removing the bumper but one day i'll happen to do it wrong and rip it off

I'm having a hard time understanding where those mount? I love that look it's very subtle. I just got a new bumper in and after ripping off my old one I'm going to start parking in the street until I can find a reliable quick release latch. I only have about 3 people in my neighborhood other than me so it's not really a big issue. I would just like to use my garage for its purpose.
