Default 03-05 Headlight Housings on 2006+ Headlights?

I've searched for sometime now on this and I can't a damn thing.

I have an 06

I don't want to pay 700 bucks for new headlight housings (mine are currently faded to the max)

I wanted to know if it's possible to buy the 03-05 healights, and take the lenses and slap them onto mine. Will they fit? It is the same "frame" and just different guts?

Input welcomed, flaming encouraged.

Yes they are compatible, just buy the cheapest one's you can find on ebay, even knockoffs will work.

Try to have the lenses cleaned first, might not need a replacement

Like Waizzz said, try and clean them first. Try the sanding plus new UV coating method, you might as well if your considering buying new lenses anyway. Here's the DIY link:

bmccann101 has said before in many posts that his experience with buying 03-05 DEPO brand headlights worked flawlessly when he had to replace his 06+ lenses.

PM him if he doesn't join in on this thread.

Thanks for the info guys.

I did sand them, UVed them, and tried again. No dice.

I'm glad 03-05 will work, this will save me a lot of money.

I didn't find that thread bmccan, thansk for the link!

Question Changing Headlight housing

Hello people, this is my first post here and I’m' not sure if this has been mentioned before but here we go.

I’m looking to change the entire housing for my headlights to the newer styles like 2006 and newer. I have a 2003 350Z. Is this possible or would screw holes make it impossible? What would be some factors that would not let me do this if any?

Welcome to the forum, someone just asked this question in the Exterior/Interior section of the forum and it has already been answered:

https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...eadlights.html

Please be sure to search that forum in the future and if you can't find an answer make a thread there rather than here in the general section
