Passenger power seat in a base help Please look
That would mean the switch is bad. So basically you are grounding the input to the controller which is what the switch should be doing.
can you do the same with the orange and green?
You have a multimeter to ohm out the wires. The 4 signals, ohm them to the black/white wire while toggling the switch.
Going to read the FSM some more to see if there is more to it.

Grey wire on what connector? I think i said green when it should have been grey for the switch.
Reading some more:
seatbelt signal is 5v or 0V. 0v is unfastened, 5v is fastened.
Pin 11 is also a 5v signal and 0v signal. This is for the bow on the conv top.
Pin 32 is also a 5v signal and 0v signal. This is for the tilting of the seat.
so pin 32 may need to be taken to 5v, not 12v, but 5v.

INTERLOCKING OPERATION OF THE PASSENGER SEAT WITH THE SOFT TOP
NOTE:
Refer to RF-12, "System Description" for detailed operation.
CLOSE → OPEN
When a soft top switch is operated to OPEN,
ground is supplied
to passenger seat control unit terminal 5
through soft top switch terminal 3
through soft top switch terminal 1
through body ground M30 and M66.
Then passenger seat control unit recognizes the soft top OPEN signal,
Soft top control unit transmits power window down signal to passenger seat control unit,
through soft top control unit terminal 36
to passenger seat control unit terminal 16.
When passenger seat control unit receives power window down signal and soft top OPEN signal,
power is supplied simultaneously
through passenger seat control unit terminal 42
to reclining motor terminal 42
Then ground is supplied
to reclining motor terminal 35
through passenger seat control unit terminal 35
Then, a seat folds 6° forward.
When storage lid closed, soft top control unit transmits a storage lid close signal to passenger seat control
unit,
through soft top control unit terminal 13
to passenger seat control unit terminal 33.
When passenger seat control unit receives storage lid close signal,
power is supplied simultaneously
through passenger seat control unit terminal 35
to reclining motor terminal 35
Then ground is supplied
to reclining motor terminal 42
through passenger seat control unit terminal 42.
The passenger side seat returns to former position.

Reading the FSM makes it sound like the switches should always work since they are the manual operations. The auto operations are pretty crazy. The 5v signals are generated from the convertible control module...which sucks. You could try a usb charger to create your 5v signal but i am not seeing them to be needed if you can jumper the switches to work.
I wouldnt think that both switches were bad though.

Thank you very much Cux350z! I got a lot more done than I had. After inspecting switch I am pretty confident switch is mad. I get no readings on the other ways but when i press it forward it reads high. I will try new switch and repost. For now I am happy I can use back button to get to cubby! Thank you very much for your awesome help!
