Default 350z glove box behind driver?

In an 07 without Bose can I just buy another glove box and door and put it in the space behind the drivers seat? I don't plan on installing a sub anytime soon and it'd be handy to have that bit of extra space. Is there an empty space or something else behind the blank door now?

There is nothing behind the cover on a base.

You would need to retrofit an entire storage assembly as well as the actual door. Honestly it seems like a lot of work for a square for of hidden storage.

Simple and easy you just need the door and the box. I swapped mine to the drivers side because of the roll bar, then put my sub panel on the pass side.

+1 pretty hard to mess this one up and there's a DIY on here already. Just buy a glovebox+lid & make the swap - takes about 15 minutes if you're careful. I keep emergency tools + blanket in there and use the original glovebox for everyday stuff

Do you have any pictures of your setup?

you can go grab what you need from your local junk yard or check out slidegood.com for the parts.

+1 on slidegood, great pricing and pretty quick with shipping, actually really fast. ordered passenger door handle from there, dealer wanted like 90 bucks or something ridiculous like that, so i order one from slidegood for 20. it was used from a totalled Z, but its pretty much brand new.

How would someone go about doing the opposite of this setup? Like instead of having two glove boxes it would be two bose subs?

Just buy and install the cover panel and sub mounting plate. PM me, i have a the parts if your interested.

Some trimming of the glove box area is required for the sub panel, if you look at the drivers side, its looks hand trimmed at the factory.
