My friend is looking at a 2005 350z to purchase. The seller claims these are very rare seats in the car. If these are just aftermarket covers then its not as rare as the claim. So were there a few cars from Nissan that had these seats?

they are seat covers, I like them, don't see them much so technically rare... lol

 

Seat covers and not rare and doesn't increase the value. In fact it would deter some buyers

 

I tend to agree they don't add any value. It just means someone didn't like the factory style seats I guess. I googled trying to find if it may have been an option but didn't find anything.

seats could be severely warn or damaged underneath.

 

well these look like they replace the original covers, so as long as the cushion and form underneath are fine, I don't see them being an issue

 

Absolutely seat covers.

 

The seats have been reupholstered. The original fabric or leather was removed and replaced with a new covering. The seat coverings look like they could be from leatherseats.com. --Spike

Those are ebay replacements for factory cloth/leather. They are neither rare, nor are they actually leather.

 

I have a 2005 35th anniversary came two tone color factory. they look like seat covers to me the work looks good but would not pay extra if their trying to to say its limited option.

 

Those don't look like "seat covers". They do like reuhpolstered seats though. The guy's on a gaff

 

i dont understand why people feel the need to lie about stuff like this.

 

If they about something as obvious as seats it's a good bet they are lying about more important things too

 

I have never seen this seat option from the factory on any 350z. I think the guy is BSn you. I agree w waizz. I wouldn't trust that seller.
