Default Depo Lights...

Hey everyone I am really hoping someone can help me on this, and hope I am in the right place.

I have a 2003 track model that came stock with HID's.
I bought a pair of '06+ bi-xenon lights swapped them in, carried over the old ballast and plugged them and everything worked fine and been fine for over 2 years.

I decided to buy a pair of these DEPO bi xenon lights with the black housing, rather than open my OEM pair. now here is my issue:

the headlight bulbs (D2S) work fine on low and high, and the 4 little amber LED's work fine too, but neither of the parking lights will turn on (bulb 194), and only the passenger side turn signal blinks when activated (bulb 3157). But neither of them stay on like the OEM bulbs did (they were constantly lit, and then flashed when activated on the OEM set).

Can someone please explain to me why I am having these issues with the DEPO lights, and I wasn't having any issues with the OEM pair?

Thanks for the help everyone.

my parking lights don't turn on either, the little bulb on the lower side of the headlight.

Default got it

ok so I got them all to work...

I turned the car on and then unplugged the parking light you are talking about and turned it around and wiggled it in and it turned on...same thing with the turn signal. howevrer: the turn signals don't stay lit but do work when you need them to.

Swapping from 03 to depo is an upgrade non the less. From 06 to depo obviously it's a bit of a down grade but the majority of people looking at these lights have 03's.

Here's my cutoff with quality Phillips 4300k bulbs. Hopefully your mind will change a little.
The car was really close to the garage door using a a crappy cell phone camera...bulbs dont really change anything significantly I just dremeled a notch to the oem bulbs and the output is the same except for color (gay yellow/white) simple fact of the matter is oem 03-05 < DEPO < oem 06+ nothing else to it.

Id check to see if the harness is fully connected, I remember I had to make sure the bulbs were seated correctly for them to turn on...this was with the drl but it may also apply...could of also burnt out idk.

It seems like there are two sellers on Ebay for these headlights. I asked both when they would be getting more stock and one told me in about a month or two and the other told me that DEPO had decided to pull the plug on these headlights and discontinued them. Don't know which is the truth but I guess we will have to wait and find out.

Doubt they are going to be discontinued, they are probably just building hype on them only to bring them back...though I wouldnt be surprised if when they come back the price is jacked to compete with the original oem replicas.

Maybe hit up "MUZZY".... he said he bought 4 sets back on page 3...........

I'm happy with mine. I'd prefer they were color matched, but FORGET opening them. I haven't the means, nor the patience. Maybe my OCDness is too much.

I vouche for this. I also contacted ebay sellers and received two different responses. I wish I made the order sooner!

Hahaha

I was thinking the same thing 4 pages ago when I was on the fence about them. I figured with 3 pages of people asking about them the "demand" would go up, so would price. I decided to make my own judgment since I rarely drive at night anyway-seems to have worked out for me!

I'm happy I got these before they became so big. Looks so good on the silver, I can't wait to install mine once my bumper is painted. It really changes the whole look of the car.

Hey guys. I received mine about two weeks ago and install went really smooth, my light output is outstanding compared to my 03's.
Only problem is i have noticed little micro cracks in my clear plastic part of my housing. I felt the top and it appears that the cracks are coming from inside the housing. These are really hard to notice but it may be getting worse.
This could be caused from heat from the sun and these cheap ebay housings. if so then ill be going back to my 03's.
Anyone else having this issue?
