Okay finished the one side and sealed tight. Decided to paint the housing redline to match. I think the halos are just the right brightness. I didnt snip the blue wire yet cause I wanted to get a pic of the signal light too. Also my ballast currently has water in it so the pics are without the headlight on.

Gloss black seems way better for reflecting the halo and in general.

Only thing I'm concerned with(which isn't at all) is the aiming. I'm gonna go out on my lunch break and see if they are googly-eyed 0_o

Saw these for sale before I found this thread. Couldn't make up my mind but this thread helped. Better than my hazed and worn 03 OEM I figure.
Thanks for all the useful information on this recent thread!

Wow those look great! I'm thinking about ordering a set too. Price hasn't gone up since this thread was thrown up. Time to start researching all these neat mods you guys are doing to the lights too.

Looks like the price just went up on these. I was thinking about getting a pair, last night they were $337 shipped to CANADA.

Today, that listing is gone and the only one I find is new. The price is now $409 shipped to my door.

Does anyone have another source on these?

People need to realize that the lens is not the only thing that affects how the light output looks. The housing itself plays a big role.

So what exactly are you trying to say?

These headlights perform very well. Definitely a HUGE upgrade over pre '06, and a worthy replacement for '06+ if you're not looking to spend the money.

tried to use left over gold tape for the iron man mod...big mistake, it reflects into the lens. only use ALUMINUM tape.

How much can I expect to pay for the d2s 6000k bulbs. I had my dad look for them while I was at work and he said he found them for $70 a piece. Is this how much they go for?

For everyone mentioning how the light shines through those painted lines, I swear I see the same thing on the oem nissan ones too.

No light shines through my oem lights at all. Nissan wouldn't allow that ghetto **** to happen.
