the "bmccann101s car gets a new look/ watch me suffer bodywork hell" thread
Congratulations on the house & progress, I'm in a semi similar boat, I have a Z3 roadster I have r&r'd 2 motors into and am fighting the tuner & clock trying to get it going before it is too hot to drive a convertible.
oh hai.. well after 15 years i finally moved to a new place.. 3 car garage now, but a very quiet neighborhood so i havent driven my car yet lmao.
We fixed the transmission and shifter issue before i had to pack and move.. and now i had my buddy fix the bolt holes in the flares so iu need to re-drill a few and re-rattle can the flares so the wrap will stick better.
Been busy as hell w the move and am slowly getting the garage together again.. its getting hot again next week, and will need my ac lines created soon, asa well as a heat sheild and catch can, integrated together around the air intake filter. Buddy is coming by top make welding templates next week.

Some past progress pictures.
Picked up a thinner lighter (louder) billet supercharger lid

Started trimming out some oem fender liners so I can make some mesh and still keep the head lights dry, keep coolers free of road debris where I can

Sent my front air cups back for an o rings rebuild.

Finished the front splitter undertray mounting up to the subframe etc.

The drive around my old complex, tow truck to the new house..

Replaced the larger air tank w the smaller one..

Splitter biscuits installed around front edge

Removed the plugs and installed ball valves on the supercharger heat exchangers.. W requisite drain tube fittings to make quick and easy draining

Got some racing numbers made, no 23 Nissan stuff as usual, went w 77, my birth year because I'm old lmao.

Added a titek carbon duct for more air.

Right now, waiting for fabricator to make my new intake tubing. Intake air box /heat shield... And we integrated the oil catch can into the intake box for smell and vapor and for engine bay packaging. Hopefully done w that soon.
needs the ac lines to be made, and i need to wire that module up, but thats short work.
Id LIKE to have a new exhaust built as this is WILDLY too loud, but other than starting on a street tune, needing the wrap finished, car is basically done.. has been running for quite some time now, just way too loud to operate it tbh.

Some more recent updates.
Parked the old daily on the street, got a few cool shots from inside the front window...

Actually installed the lid. Makes a massive difference to blower whine sound.

Finished my trunk Alcantara

Swapped out the fortune air cups for larger stanceparts cups.. Stronger lift w the heavier engine.

Upgraded the blower belt tensioner pulley. Was sketch, barely wider than the belt.. This one's much thicker

Lastly, yanked the evap box since it is no longer in use nor functioning fully.
Will add a universal charcoal filter, roll over valve, and a breather filter and p trap loop.

Swapped out the heavy abs side splitters for alumalite.
Had some. 09" alum end plates made ( sent to powder coat yesterday)

Also. Bought a Bluetooth module for the holley ecu... Negates the need for a laptop to data log and email off my files for tuners etc.
Works on my phone as well as the dash radio.

got my ac lines kit from speedway.. looks like my fab friend may finally be open to help me get ac into this thing.
Its 115 degrees here today, fun stuff.
Other friend is coming by to help me lay down the rest of the wrap and stripes this Sunday, looking fwd to that big time.
Last big concern is the exhaust sound,, way too loud, hopefully we can come up w a plan when its over at fab for ac lines.
