really love the color!!! car will be looking so sick once it's done!!! so you did the vinyl wrap all by yourself? how hard is it?
never thought about the striker bolts to be replaced with Ti bolts i guess this is something i'll prob. do in the near future ....thanks for the inspiration but you should prob. also replace the bolt of the door switch sensor
apparently PTE tells me my turbo will be about a month out to get looked at.. great.
In the meantime, this thing needs to get DONE.
Im going to nail down the wrap this weekend.. and i think im going to be bold and do my bumpers myself too. It aint THAT bad...and i want to say it was 100% DIY tbh.
weeee.. drew out the splitter and winglet game plan so i can get er done this weekend..
got some red trim on the way for the edges as well.
im going to have to head scratch about where to land the splitter stays since they arent going to reach all the way to the core support.. we shall see tho.
zero purpose to this.. but im going to add them anyways becuase they are going to look scary and major and thats all i care about..
im good w the super miniscule added drag lol
anyways will add some "actual pics" as i go this weekend. Took half of next week off work to get some stuff done here.
so i took a few days off and got pretty far on exterior stuff.
I found these no name projectors in a drawer of my tool box..seeing as though i have brand new xb35 3000k yellow HIDs as well as brand new 5Five TRS ballasts.. i figured why not.. i have no idea where im going to be able to mount them.. but it would be nice to at least have them on the car vs laying around lol.
not like aiming them at a bench shows a very clean cut off line lol. but you get the picture. one light only here.
so once its running and i can get it back over to the shop.. i figured out how the splitter stay rods will mount..
jsut need to bend and weld a quick steel bracket like so and im all set.
got my sponsore-out handle covers in from Jay at EVO-R.net. hes been very helpful w the build details over the years.
starting to figure out the logo placements.
this pod is crazy lol.
i did get my splitters mostly finished this weekend.. red edge molding is in transit, and ill eaither paint satin to match the skirts or wrap gloss black.
reshaped to fit the car
added the nice mesh i had mentioned previously:
roughed out the areas for cut out holes.. we will go wider on the lh and rh openings.
tried out my existing winglets, but ill likely just buld Rocket Bunny style larger ones that connect to the flares.
sacked up and started wrapping the curvy stuff too:
drivers side flares.. hatch.. and the bumpers when they are all ready.. and ill be done w the body wrap. This car is starting to make me giddy finally.. it will be absolutely epic from every angle.. and that was exactly what i shot for.
Did you figure out your turbo issues?
I'm going to be selling my turbo (0 miles, 0 issues). Let me know if you'd be interested. I could give you a great deal, might be less than rebuilding yours, and I know it will fit your bp kit (with a little bit of "massaging").
I've been busy, but to me putting gauges in the oem triple is by far the cleanest. If you make your gauge lay out any more busy you literally won't know what you're looking at lmao. I definitely wouldn't be able to handle it. I have one or two other gauges that aren't in this pic but here's an example.
