Nah not really.. I took the front clip off, down to the sway bar and engine pulleys etc.. Ill have to pull the fuel lines and the shifter off still, but otherwise it's ready to have the engine pulled out for inspection.

I left for a few weeks to see my family from Alaska... Put the car problems and the society problems behind me for a few weeks, get my mind refreshed w some peaceful surroundings before I head back to what I'm now told is a huge covid hot spot (eye roll).. Mandatory masks and all that bllsht.. 112 degrees, pulling engine in a 1 car apt garage w no ac... Yeah, "can't wait " lol

Yeah the hell with all that heat. It was 84 with 94%humidity here yesterday, wanted to work on the car but said nope! That's a LOT of courage being in a small garage in that heat.

That's maddening! I guess with that heat, it shows how good the Z is under heat though

Kicked around rebuilding a new de and switching to a modifed Jim wolf twin kit.. But I'm honestly just gunshy of the vq engine at this point..
My best friend is a pit mechanic and wiring guru for Alec Hohnadell fd teamx and my closest best buddy runs the desert Meihan drift event series.. Both have swayed me to take the leap to large diaplacement LS engine swap.
6.0 or 6.2.... Aluminum block, heavily cammed, shooting for 500 na hp, and then adding the lsa /zl1 supercharger.

Long story short, shooting for hellcat whp numbers, and I'm for sure going this route.

I'm already married to the deals at this point.. Just not sure on what ecu and harness system to do... And what I can afford. Lol.. The initial investment is insanely expensive, but the ability to fix it cheaply will be solid .
(not doing a junkyard 5. 3 swap by any means lol).

Glad you're still in the game!
Our newest Mod "bealjk" may be able to help with tuning/standalones etc. Solid guy, writes his own maps!
GL on the new build!

Alright,

"I am once again...

Asking for your support. " lol.. Jk

I am however once again going into debt.

I bought a super low mileage, dynod, 19k mile engine from Cordes performance here locally.
It is going to be silly..

I bought an lt1... Not an old one, a new Gen V.
A dry sump corvette lt1 from a z51 car, at that.

I also bought an Lt4 blower.. 😎

The donor car dynod at 404 whp na, as is.
With a dod delete cam package, a blower and headers, I should be in the 600s whp easily, and on e85, likely in the 700s. Far far more than necessary.

For wiring, my local buddy David of AZMW will be making me a true milspec harness, along with Motec ecu and AEM cd7 carbon dash..

Fueled racing will use my car to develop new mounts for this dry sump oil system engine..
Here is an example of his work :

"No big deal".
Lol. Yea right...
With partial sponsorships included.. Still looking at around 20 to 25k here.. This is insane but its whatever.. Life goes on.
