Default Headlight black housing question?

I want to have black housing but have clear lens. Is there a way to do this? I'd have to remove the front bumper and remove the headlights, does the lens and housing just simply come apart? Then all I would have to do is paint them, right?

Please search and read. It's been answered 1000x times. It took longer for you to type that than it would've taken to find your answers

If thats the case, post a link. I didn't find anything on making black headlights chrome, and being that these Depos only came out this year I doubt it's been "talked about 1000 times" as there's only one thread on them and no posts in there are about going back to chrome. This is something I have wanted to do as well and haven't found anything on, you don't know what you're talking about.

Obviously you don't look too hard. Waizzz posted the link and there are many more like it. Enjoy.

buying a different color of paint is too hard. we need a new diy for that. oh wait, while we are at it, we need diy for every single color that exist in the world too.

Because the OEM Koitos cost 3x what the Depos did, and Depos are only available in black

That link doesn't have anything on making headlights chrome. It's not as simple as using shitty "chrome paint".

What do you want?

First you said you want black, now you say you want chrome. Either way, depo does sell a chrome one.

The chrome Depos also cost ~2-3x what the black ones do, without bulbs or ballasts. So yea, also not comparable.

You still haven't provided any useful information for us to help you. You just criticize people when they try to give you info. I don't think that's the best way to go about asking for help now is it? Now, what exactly do you need

i've seen them sold at the exact same price as the black ones a few weeks ago. if the vendor is out of stock, wait for them to stock them up again, no need to rush yourself into these overpriced ones currently on ebay. if you are that impatient call up depo and see which retailer carries their products.

and i have no idea what you mean "not comparable" chrome depo and black depo are the exact same thing in different color...
