Default Bi xenon Ballast

Hey guys i just bought a pair of oem bi xenon and one of the light had a 35w aftermarket ballast. The guy told me that his ballast stopped working so he replaced it with the aftermarket one. My question now is can i keep it this way? if not where can i buy an oem ballast other than at the dealer. Also can i use the ballast from my oem 2005 xenon headlight or it's not the same?

I'm no expert so I apologize in advance if I am wrong, but I think the ballast from all years work equally as long as you have the correct bulb. If I remember correctly its D2S for 06+ and D2R for 03-05.

As far as where to look, I have no experience with this company but you can search for plenty of reviews on them. Hope this helps bud.

I've used my ballast on my 04 enthusiast with d2r and ds2 bulbs. You can use an OEM ballast from any year 350z, so yes you can swap one over and should have no issues. You can find OEM used ballasts on the market place here and Ebay, buying new is going to be pretty expensive.

The people who install aftermarket hid kits how do you fill the hole of the oem ballast? keeping it open would make it foggy?
