Default 06 Headlight question

Does anybody have these Spec-D installed on their Z? https://shop.redline360.com/products...21339225849936
I was looking for aftermarket Z headlights but it seems those are the only ones available for the 06-09 year. If you have them installed let me know how they`ve held up for you and if they`re decent.

Thanks and yeah I`ve searched them up I can`t seem to find anything on them.

see thats the thing. My car was wrecked by the previous owner and one headlight is 10 years newer than the other one so it looks super funky. 2 oem ones are upwards of $800-1000 and I don`t want to order 1 oem and the headlights still be off-color due to one still being newer than the other.

yea the depo headlights are like 400 a piece, plus I’d like a more aggressive look on the headlights so I was looking towards aftermarket stuff.

so you are a balla on a budget, got it. most aftermarket headlights are crap, go ahead and get em, install them and let us know how you like them. i would almost guarantee that the output is crap compared to the depo's

lol something like that. I’ll let you know how they turn out. I’m keeping the newer driver side headlight. So if they turn up crap I’ll buy a depo one for the passenger side and go the expensive route.

not judging, you are young, i get it. one word of advice, do it right once, or you will end up spending more money in the long run

yea I understand completely . I was going to get lowering springs but read they will just blow your stock shocks so I went with some bc coils. Tomei on the way, just did slotted rotors and new brakes. I’m taking the expensive route with everything I was just wondering about these headlights. I’ll take before and after pictures documenting the light output and the overall look of them.

bad thing about slotted rotors, most (key word) wont turn them. there is a member on here who has some brand new tokico d-specs, which are amazing... you could have done that paired with eibach pro-kit springs to have a very nice setup

Yeah but even then I’m upwards of $700.. I might as well spend a few hundred more and have the full adjustability of the suspension. At least that was my thinking of it.

nope. I`m going to lower it a bit and get an alignment and see how far outta spec i am, and if its too bad I`ll get it fixed up. I`m not slamming the **** out of it so it shouldn`t be too rough. We`ll see

Yup, you can't just get coilovers you will definitely need more stuff and IMO they aren't worth it, 90% of people that get them don't ever use the "adjustments" anyway. As for the lights...my opinion is never go cheap on lights, tires and brakes. It's up to you, I didn't even want to depo ones when I swapped mine. Mine are made by Kyoto like the stock ones but the aren't from Nissan, I do like these more because they don't come with the stupid yellow diffuser in them, it's clear and looks much cleaner.

I currently have 18s on and I want to get 19s next time I purchase new wheels and tires and I just want to get the perfect fitment to my liking. And yeah I know I’ll need more than just the coils but I’m going to get an alignment after the install and see what all I need to replace whether it be the toe, or camber arms. I’m not slamming it all the way so I’ll see how off-spec I am. I just figured if I was going to spend 700 on new shocks and springs I might as well spend a few hundred bucks more and have the adjustability.

most big box alignment places wont touch the front camber, even with arms, because it is not adjustable from the factory. so to get a true alignment, you will need to find a tuner shop to do it

z1 Motorsports is only about 45 minutes from me if the front alignment ends up being too rough. Thanks for informing me of that though

Wait wait take a step back, the DEPO black housings are not $400 a piece lol.

They're generally $350-400 a set but it seems most vendors are sold out. I'm sure they'll be back in stock soon. Amazon and eBay had em for about $400
