I am back with an update , I have been working on a few things .
The roof scoop frame that will be the mounting point and will be part of the roof .
This was a tricky piece to make ......like everything else was easy lol .
The part that covers the top of the windscreen will be made with the whole roof and cut off after , so the roof scoop frame will need to be cut also , and the nose of the frame will be attached to the part that goes over the glass , for easy removal for windscreen replacement .

Hi EveryoneBeen busy it seems to me , I know I built a mock up trunk to build the trunk and make it function off the car but it's hard to know if it looks right off the car , so I have been doing some mock up stuff .
My original plan was to make each louver in one piece , it is too difficult , so this is what I am thinking .
This was the original idea built some stringers to hold the louvers They needed two sets , the outer are a different size because the outer ones are thinner so they can have some contour you have to use a bit of imagination here and picture it all body worked
Well I didn't like the bars going down the middle , and it would be a nightmare to sand .
So I came up with an idea to make my original idea work , of course I had to make all new pieces ....
It's getting there , the plan is to lay up a few thin layers of fiberglass mat and then cut the part where the trunk lid opens . then I can finish the trunk lid off the car with the mock up
rear body part I made for that purpose , I know it's all a bit confusing .
So hang in there !!!
This is how many times I tried different ratios of height and length to get what I thought was right , just like CAD ( computer assisted drawing ) only WAD wood assisted drawing
LOL LOL
Just the top to sort out and then filler and fiberglass
How the hell did I just find this thread?!?! This needs to be posted all over the Internet.
I am right there with you man....don't know how I missed this thread until now! Also...am I the only one super impressed with the fact that he made and colored cardboard RIMS to have in place of the wheels while he's doing all the work???? Who does that? THIS GUY! Keep up the good work FASTman...cannot wait to see the finished product!

Hey thanks for your interest in my build , it's posted on three different sites , I tried to get it out there for people to see .
I lived in Ottawa over 25 years ago , been back to visit a few times , couldn't believe how rough the roads were , and how much it had grown .
When the car is finished we were thinking of going there to show the car and visit some of my car buddies .

Thanks Shawn for the kind words also , its been a long haul this build , I built the foe wheels to have a replacement for the real ones , I can't Imagine how beat up the wheels would be by now if they were on the car during the build , and it helps with the visual while working on it for me .
Not to mention they cost about 7 thousand bucks Canadian .
So you have to mix hardeners separate and then mix them together?
I'm a big fan of adding fiberglass fibers to body filler to make my own "kitty hair"
Hi and thanks for fallowing along , yes I have made the famous kitty hair a couple of times , great for fixing holes in a winter beater .
The Rondo is mixed together 50 / 50 ( you might have to add a bit more filler to get the right thickness you need ) once you have it then both hardeners go in together and mix it up really well .
Then brush it on .

I would love to see the finish product in person! The roads are pretty decent here now I'd say.
I have an update , I jumped back on the front of the car , been busy with everything really .
So I built a system for measuring the front fenders , so I have been tuning up the fenders to get them equal in height , width and inside angle .
So next will be dialing in the rest of the front and painting it with Rondo then fiberglass it , then put the bottom part of the hood back on and finish the edges of it so I can make the top part of the hood .
Thanks for the comments .
Here are a few more pics ... Front fender vent to allow air from the front splitter to escape inside the fender Making the pattern
The blue foam represents the top corner of the hood , so I can shape the fender the same on both sides .
Rondo to seal the foam Products I use Rondo kicking off I was having a hard time getting the foam to sit down where I needed so I made up a jig with a weight to hold it and fiber glassed it to hold it in place checked the deck for level with the laser second layer of glass Rondo over the glass these 2 pieces of foam are to fill where the rear fenders start to rise . checking the fender rises with the laser before adding the foam glassing over all of it it's coming along !!!! Hang in there
