Veilside Warranty is BS..beware
For those of you who have been following the numerous threads in reference to Veilside Vs1 lips not fitting properly and cracking, here is the response I got from Trent at MVP motorsports in reference to the 2 Veilside lips I bought from them, 1 Carbon Fiber and 1 Fiberglass (over $800 spent with them on these Veilside lips). I bought the fiberglass after the CF one cracked and then the Fiberglass one cracked also when installing and after all this Trent puts me through to Ray at Veilside and he faxes me some instructions on where to grind the lip to keep this from happening, THANKS, AFTER THE FACT!!!! Now MVP wants to fix this by selling me another one at cost, I SAY BS, where is the warranty they are talking about....BUYER BEWARE.

Tim,
I wasn't in the office all weekend and didn't make it in on Monday either as it was a holiday. I am writing this to you from home as I am having a little fight with food poisoning right now, so there isn't much I can do or say other than what I already know.
I talked to Veilside in depth on Friday about your situation, and they are choosing not to really do anything to help you. I talked to my account rep and his manager and they both aren't willing to help me or you. But here is my solution.
I propose that I sell you a lip of your choice at my cost for the lip. I can't afford unfortunately to just give you one. That is really what I would like to do, but the best I can do is sell it at cost. I'm doing what I can to help you and trying to get this resolved for you. If you have a better solution or have an alternative, I would love to listen. I'll be back in the office on Wednesday, but will be checking emails periodically if you write back. Let me know what i can do to help you and i'll do everything I can to help.

Sorry to hear about your problems. How about just fixing the fiberglass or CF lips? Any decent body shop should be able to help you out. Any interest in just selling them?
I had a fiberglass VeilSide V1 lip and it never cracked on me. Fit like a glove too. I never knew they even offered a warranty.
I've dealt w/MVP before and never had a problem. Hope you get this all straightened out.

Here call veilside and ask for Katsu, I never had a problem with veilside other than not getting my emblem. Tell him what kind of problems you are having I'm sure he will fix it .

The CF lip you would not want, it cracked the clear coat on the outside edges so it is basically worthless.
I will probably just go with NISMO front nose, so far NISMO has backed all there products, in fact, my Nismo exhaust cracked at the flange at the y-pipe and they replaced the whole exhaust. North Point Nissan sponsors my car so I am fortunate to have access to NISMO parts.
I do want everyone to know that I do not hold anything against Trent personally, just MVP and Veilside are not backing the products they make and sell to us, the consumer.

Not to make you feel bad or anything, but as the owner of a body kit shop.... THIS IS WHY YOU HAVE A PROFESSIONAL do the INSTALL! If they crack it, they pay for it. They are familiar with the grinding, molding, etc, that is generally to be expected with any kit or aftermarket body part.
Just my 2 Cents,

NOW TO THE POINT, Veilside did not honor their WARRANTY, END OF STORY.....
I have fitment problems with my Veilside v3 hood which I spoke with the US group about and posted pictures for them. They agreed it is not right and said they would contact the Japan office and get back to me, I never heard from them again.
Veilside is living off their reputation, not quality products.

I purchased an entire Veilside kit for my S...never again. I loved the look of the kit, but purchased it due to their reputation for quality fitment, etc. It was no better than most other kits out there, and I've put a ton of time and energy into getting it into proper shape.
Veilside is NOT worth the enourmous price tag.
