You want aftermarket bulbs for the main driving bulb?

Do you mean HIDs for your headlights?

Do a search for "installing HIDs"

I have not seen any aftermarket headlights yet. If you are talking about a base housing and a xenon housing, you could modify the housing to fit the mainbulbs. Try fishing around the vendors area or something.

I have the touring addition, which I believe means that they are xenon/HID. and one of my bulbs went out so I was wanting to replace both bulbs with a brighter/slightly blue tinted bulb that is still legal.

then you simply need a higher temp HID bulb. 6000k is popular. stock is 4300k.

I hear mixed opinions on most all brands; so hard to reccomend one as I have no first hand experience.

Just as an FYI, don't go too far above 6000k or you'll lose a lot of functionality....

Phillips Ultinon bulbs are the best. Google search them and you will find them. Plan on spending around $500 for 6000K's.

anything higher kelvin than stock will result in a bulb that is less bright and doesnt last as long.

and you pay more, all for? APPEARANCE.

I know your products are very functional... but you must realize people that buy your stuff are paying for appearance... the function is a nice detail.

6000k isnt the end all; not like you wont be able to see where your going. if it were 8 or 9k Id agree. but there are plenty of cars that use 5500k stock.

What do you mean by functional? How much would it cost to replace the stock bulbs?

higher degree bulbs(6000 vs 4300) is less output as well. 43-4500 is the brightest point; anything up or down is dimmer. get up to 10-12k and you approach nonvisible spectrums.

their 3-500 depending on quality. HID bulbs are quite pricey.

Most who buy our products, buy them because they are a balance of both function and form.

i couldnt. i drive in the canyons all the time, i was GIVEN a free set of 6000k's many many years ago. they eventually failed after a couple years and the thing that bothered me most about them was their color, they were too "cool" of a blue, rather than a bright white. so, it all depends what you want. when i share my opinion, i try to share my experience. there is a reason why ALL street cars come with OEM 4100k bulbs. If they look more blue, its the design of the headlight -- not the bulb.

For me and anytime people ask my opinion, i tell them what I suggest -- and thats OEM. Unless of course, its a show car where the owner doesnt care about performance or longevity (or cost). All depends what you want to do. I dont want my HID looking like its always warming up, I want it performing at the max.
