I hope at least one of the braveheart's has an alcohol problem and decides to go to an AA meeting and get owned for asking questions 10 other drunks have already asked..I can hear it now...

"How do I know if I'm really an alcoholic?"

B!thc..read the website, where it clearly states.."If you repeatedly drink more than you intend or want to, or if you get into trouble when you drink you are a damn drunk"

That being said...please do your research and then post if you haven't found the information you were looking for...

"This site has over 60,000 registered members that cover a wide range of "car smarts". Everybody can't be an expert or expected to know all the ins and outs of the Z."

- now there maybe around 300 members who are actively participating, 1000 who browse at all, 5000 who joined other forums, the rest (53700) were flamed out. That's just bad. I for one joined this forum for technical know how info. it is totally weird world.

+1

I lurked around this forum for about 2 years before I joined, just searching for info, and I usually found what I wanted. If everyone would search first my350Z.com would be a much happier place. Most of the people who whine about getting flamed are the ones who either don't search or are only here to start trouble anyway.

That's kind of ironic since I thought of the Braveheart Campaign while under the influence of beer.

When there is newbie seeking for help, what does he/she get back??
Its all jokes people making fun of him..

Here is an examples.. I have seen so many in here..
https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-nissan-350z/197051-downshifting.html

They came here is for informations, not for jokes..

I have been to a honda accord forum. Even there is very less people, the moderator tried their best to help people who got question instead of making fun of them.

I want to know why?? Is it most people driving 350z is cocky?

I hope everyone here knows how to respect people, and dont waste their time on posting meaningless replies...
Honestly, I do not mean this to be insulting and I am trying to be helpful. I suggest you take an English class. Your writing skills need improvement. Regardless of what type of career you go into, being able to use correct grammar is essential. The first thing I noticed while reading your post was the amount of grammatical errors it contained.

I am not sure what the point of this thread is thus I do not know what exactly a "meaningless reply" would be as you stated. Are you just seeking everyone to simply agree with you that people make fun of other people on this forum or are you seeking to have a debate on if someone should ever tell another person to do a search?

If you have a technical question regarding a 350Z, I among other would be happy to answer it for you to the best of our abilities.

Wow..... I enjoy reading and learning from the post's here and when I have
an answer for a qustion I will give it. I also know that if I ask "what kinda turbo should I run with my supercharger?"(JK) I will get flamed badly so I always try to check the search first.

yeah there are a lot of great people on this forum. as to a solution everyone should just be smart when using this forum and search for answers when need be as its obviously bothering some people. but i mean if a guy is trying to ask a question that he obviously doesn't know, why not help out a little rather than reply with a smartass remark

ToU #8 - Meaningless Posts. It seems like a lot of the replies would easily fall under that definition.

If it hasn't been asked several times before, most people here would help them out. But when someone asks "What's the best exhaust?" or "What CAI will give me the most HP?" they are probably going to get flamed because it's been covered several times since the 350Z first came out.

I think everybody underestimates the number of real contributors to this site. Right now, there are about 2,232,000 posts by the 62,719 registered members which averages 35 posts per member. If you look at the Member List and sort by number of posts, you will see that there are about 6200 members with 35 or more posts (the average). There are 3400 members with over 100 posts, those are the ones that really make a significant contribution to the information available here. There are 450 member with over 1000 posts to their credit, with the exception of a few post-******, I'd bet the rest of them are the ones that really help educate and enlighten the newbies. A few of those newbies stay on, learn, grow and eventually join that 1000+ club.

It's easy to get frustrated with the seemingly endless stream of newbies asking the same questions over and over, but when you consider the large number of people that visit the site, they're probably represent a very small percentage.

If half the effort that goes into harassing the newbies was put into helping them, we could probably come up with some good FAQs that would answer their questions.

I think we ought to have a contest to determine the top 100 "stupid questions" that newbies seem to ask. Put the questions along with the answers in a FAQ that all newly registered members are required to read, that would probably cut the number of newbie posts by 75%.

Sorry for the rant - Dave

The problem is that for a lot of these questions, there is no simple black-and-white answer. A simple search is not going to tell a new arrival what the best exhaust is. A day of reading threads probably won't tell them either.

some Z owners in here are very childish and arrogant....I made a thread about this few weeks ago. It seems like the moderators in here dont do good enough of a job. Lots of people are getting away from here and it has been worse and worse
