With the vast amount of data they have to mine, I can only imagine what interesting facts we could deduce.

 

Chrome has an add on to block tracking, for what it's worth. Unfortunately, I visit the site on my mobile phone most of the time.

Most of the time, I have add-ons to block tracking. NoScript helps with FireFox.

FYI - nearly every consumer interaction based sites do this. Any sites that have advertising, any sites we as consumers comment or interact on, any sites we "shop" on. It's not necessarily 'new' but it is a good idea be it known.

There is A LOT more to this, I used to work in this industry and technically still do on the side. Sites "tracking" your habits/info/searches sounds worse than it is. The only way around it - dont use the internet.
