Even though the cars all have other mods, and it's not really a level playing field, I think having many of the FI options available in one place, to be driven and tested back to back, is still of great interest to those who are considering such systems.

I think we're lucky that there is even going to be such a comparison, regardless of the floating variables. To put this test down is just wrong. This community needs more of such comparos, not people sitting on their a$$es dismissing them as invalid.

Well I agree the test wont be EXACT from car to car the most significant mod done will be exhaust. I think they got cars that were as close to stock motors as possible. For instance the only other engine mod I have is my Apexi exhaust. Everything else is suspension and shifting...

Ahh. All the cars have stock internals? Does that mean they will all be running the recommended stock boost? I'm wondering if they will also include the stock fuel systems...

They should all be stock internals and they will be running whatever fuel system comes with the kit....

The only way this test would be good is...
stock 350Z with the turbo kit. Drive it for a day in different conditions to get a feel for the turbo responses and etc...

Everyone knows you are going to make the most power with the APS TT...because the other kits don't have the supplies to even go past ~440rwhp...some even lower than that. I don't think anyone would want to go over that on a stock motor though.

Well its supposed to be out of the box boost and tune test. Not how much can the car do.

But most of the cars have other mods...which is why it doesn't interest me.

Besides the mods, there seems to be a lot of variation in motor strength from Z to Z.

This shootout should concentrate more on features and safety rather than numbers (since they'll all do ~400whp).

Cool! Everyone running a stock motor makes this comparison very interesting, props to Sport Z Mag for this undertaking. When I read about it before I thought the cars would be too different, but this should be a nice round up.

No-tune is correct, the system comes with a prepaid FedEx overnight foam padded box, you fill out a decal with your data and place it on the ECU and ship it off once we receive your ECU it's flashed and returned overnight the same day.

We did purchase the flash software from Technosquare but the actual program was established in-house on our dyno.

I wouldn't trust the heart of my turbo system being so low to the ground either. Theres a G35 in a local shop here with a twin turbo kit ( I believe its an APS not 100% sure tho, ill find out) that had the turbos set below the engine bay and the oil return line pump or somethign went bad and messed everything up.
