Exclamation White Smoke ???

Ok, so yesterday I finaly decided do one WOT run. As soon as I passed 4.5k I saw some white smoke from the back of the car....

It wasn't much but noticeable.

Should I be worried ? the car isn't tuned so maybe my a/f ratio is off but I won't be doing any more WOT runs without tuning first.

Do you guys think I might have damaged something ?

Thanks !

It was WOT but at 3/4 throttle.

Trust me it's the last time before tuning.

There was no sound or anything just some white smoke and as soon as I let off the gas it stopped.

Was it about the same time the Pope was elected?
Probably cleaning out the cylinders if you don't feel or sense any other engine problems..

Is it a big cloud of white smoke? Check your oil and see if it looks like chocolate milk. Then you'll find out if it's a blown head gasket.

Also running too lean will cause the great white puff.

Don't go WOT till you tune it properly unless you would want to rebuild your motor.

500 woohhooo!!

Was this during the daytime? Sure it was white smoke and not greyish? If its just one puff, I wouldnt be too concerned. Often the car transitions from part throttle to full throttle, there is a moementary puff of smoke...even common on NA cars as well.

Get a compression check done..just to be safe....but I doubt you damaged anything.

well it may not be a head gasket. I ran into the same problem. Except that I blew all 6 rings and bent the #6 rod. I blew past an eclipse and he saw the white smoke along with green flakes that ended up on the front of his windshield. it turns out that the green flakes was engine coolent. get your engine checked asap. and be prepaired for the worst.

also, they did a compression test on my engine and it came out to 160psi. the engine is supposed to be at 200psi (i think).

It was in the afternoon, from what could tell it was white not grey.

it only happens when I go above 4k-4.5k.

Car is still runing very smooth.

I started for an WOT run but at 3/4 of it I saw the white smoke and let off the throttle super fast.

When I push it slowly till 4k it's fine.

Well...white/gray smoke = before air has entered the piston/head chamber. black/blue smoke = after the air has been burned but did not burn completely.

So that at least helps you determine that your problem is pre-combustion.

Check the oil dipstick and make sure the oil color doesn't look like chocolate milk...if it does, antifreeze has entered the combustion chamber...most likely due to the headgasket failing. If the oil color looks fine...you either just have a leak before the combustion chamber or water somehow entered the engine (doubtful).
