Default Misfire in cylinders

Hi, I have a question to all have your TT installed. I am running a one step colder than stock iridium spark plugs. However, there are many misfire at idle speed and when I accel. to around 3000-4000 RPM. I did gapped to about .035. When I do the first test run after the gapped, it run smooth and did not have misfired at all. However, after turn off the engine, and start back on in like 30 min. It started misfire again, and the "engine service soon" light come on. Anyone know what that cause happen?

Please help. Thanks

The computer will sometimes read a rich condition as a misfire. Is this the stock computer program that came with the kit??

double check the gaps - sometimes when putting the plugs in - if you drop them in it can ruin the gaps. Happened to me once before - just an idea.....

The stock Greddy map is notoriously rich. That is probably why your ecu is reading a misfire code. There are a few guys around with better maps on the boards..amybe put up a request post for help.

But I did felt the engine is misfireing. And also, when I accelerate to around 3000-4000 rpm, the engine misfire like terrible. Does that engine running rich or it is misfire?

If it feels like a misfire, then research the issue . . . My stock Greddy setup did fire a few codes in the first few months, but when I changed out to test pipes, it ran rather well. No problems here.

I had done many researches, i did check the gap of the spark plug. It run very smooth on the first test, but misfire again from the second run.

might be the MAF, i had problem with just a cold air intake, CEL came on fem sec afterward. I took to the dealers ask them why my car was misfiring, they said bad MAF. Check that out. But I don't know that it might be the same for you cuz you got a TT kit.

If so, what spark plug are you using, and what you did you gap?

I have nothing to add to the solution, but want to say that if you can actually feel/hear a misfire then you should be very careful and not boost until the problem is diagnosed.

devil, have you dyno tuned this car? If your AF ratio is very rich or lean, it will misfire, and throw the code. If you timing is overly advanced or overly retarded, that will also trigger a misfire.

There are so many things that can contribute to a misfire, but its highly unlikely its just your spark plug gapping. My guess is that if you have the stock Greddy map, you are running very rich in the low to midrange power band.

Yes, I have not dyno tuned my car yet because I have no idea where is a good place for e-manage dyno tune. Also, my mechanic try to upload the data from the emanage, but he said the emanage is locked. Anyone know a good place for dyno tune in Los Angeles areas.
Thanks for your opinion.
