Do you recall if the block was sleeved? THeir first car was a PE turbo kit with 598whp roughly, but I think they were using the stock sleeves.

I believe they used the stock sleeves into the 10s (around 600-700whp)...and then they sleeved the block, put bigger turbos and a drag trans in it and last I heard they are making over 1400whp and shooting for 7s....

Here you go. I'm not sure how much more proof you need. If you strectch your window out you can see the image will get bigger. Look in the center of the wheel wher it says 18 x 9 1/2 and then look at the tire size.

End of discussion.

Can you show me the side shot of that wheel/tire? I'd like to see how much the sidewall bulges out. I currently have a 19X9.5 rear and 285/35/19 Mich P2S, and i have a little bit of stick-out already.

I believe 9.5" is the minimum for that wide of a tire, which probably explains the slight tire buldge.

Correct, I think my tire fits fine, but I was thinking that a 315 would really be pushing the limits on a 9.5inch rim...as its well beyond the recommended minimum wheel size for that large a tire size.

Just curious how it looks.

That's not bad at all...my buddy runs a 315 Nitto DR on his stock 17x9 inch rims from his trans am...now those things are stretched...

You guys also have to remember that not all 315 width tires are created equal..some are slighty wider than others.

The one you see from the track that's been abused is a Pirelli P Zero Corsa Race tire. The Ones one's on my car are PS2 Michelin's.

For those of you that run staggered 19's (19x9 and 19x10's) a good tire size to run is a 285/30/19 FRONT and a 305/30/19 REAR. It looks and works the best (from our experience)

Very nice...doesnt look bad at all. I think I might try a larger drag radial on my next trip to the 1/4 track.

And problem with rubbing? I rolled my fenders, and looks like the clearance is decent. Do you rub at all with the 315's. What offset are those wheels again?

No, no rubbing at all. Almost all of our cars run the 315 with a 91/2" wheel and are all on lowered cars. Not sure on the offset.

285 is just too large on the front...handling won't be very good, JMO.

A 285 is not at all too large for the front. Track day, after track day, after track day we have tried several diffrent tire sizes. We tried diffrent sizes to see what would rub and what wouldn't, and to see what performes the best and we are more than happy with the performance and (everyday) drivabilty with this tire combo. (front 18x8.5" rim 285/30/18 and rear 18x9.5" rim 315/30/18) No problems at all.

Does VDC (street use) crap itself with this combo?
