If it results in good grip, and neutral handling, I dont see a problem with it. However, sometimes, a larger tire will compensate and cover up deficiencies in the rest of the suspension system....making dialing in the car even more challenging.

A lot of guys running DOT race rubber will run 265/18's all around. Not an overly large tire size, but their lap times are impressive, and the cars are very well balanced and dialed in.

I guess each individual has their own preference. I run 315's on the rear and 275's on the front.

Have you guys tried running Toyo RA1's or Michelin Pilot Cups?

Pilot Cups. They are VERY NICE, but do not compare to the Pirelli P Zero Corsa's.

They don't compare with the Corsa's on an average everyday/track tire combination. The Pilot Cups are better when they are heated up, but that in itself poses a problem on a semi-cold day. On a hot day the Pilot Cups are awsome. The Corsa's are great all around tires, descent on the track and very streetable, unlike Pilot Cups.

are you talking about the article where their goal was to hit 1.0 g? the first thing they did was get rid of the staggered wheels/tires in favor of (I believe) 285s all around. Anyone remember the exact sizes?
