After 8 months of waiting for their R & D (it was the first Z they ever built) SFR handed to VRT a prototype / One off kit with a built motor. VRT personally hired Tim Richards, who is awesome BTW, to design the kit for a Z.
The Z made great power on the Dyno, did car shows, track days, and work fine until the piston squirter broke due to the engine build and the motor ceased because the squirter wedged between rod #2 and the cylinder wall at normal start-up and not under any stress.
In the event, we decided to abondon the kit to be our chosen source of power and adopted a new relationship with world renowned JWT, Jim Wolf Technologies.
Here are the pictures of the same Z, yet please notice this isn't an SFR built car, but a VRT built car, as we are proud to be powered by JWTs turbo kit, which is not yet available to the public, but soon to come.
IMPORTANT:
We would like to offer the original SFR kit up for Sale to you members to the highest bidder. If you do purchase the kit from us direct, we would encourage you to contact Tim at SFR to install the kit. They are the best qualified for the job because it is their kit. Tim is great to work with and is an awesome tuner.
If you want to buy the kit, email me at info@violentracing.com

What about that statement is incorrect? Was he not once with VRT?

Thanks dave078 & Abyss.
WOW, what an old thread. Brings back memories of back when VRT was legitimately building some solid cars. A LOT has happened since then.
Just to clarify.......... Yes I was with VRT back in "04-"05, and just barely into '06. After that (after me and Mark left) is when things obviously started going very sideways, very fast. Its kind of sad things had to go that way, but they did.

Although i'm not a member of the FI crew (yet), I'll vouch for Scott. Great guy, answers all my questions i've had, at any time of day. He even sent me a quote on a build, and then followed up 3 days later, to A) make sure i received it, and B)answer any other questions i've had.
I met Mike A at the Stillen Day last april, and that guy is one cocky mother f**ker. i told him i was interested in going TT, and i wanted them to do it (this was when my only exposure to them was through their website, and before i came across my350z) and all he could ask was "what year is your car, and when do you want to drop it off?" He wouldn't entertain any questions i had pertaining to installation, tuning, parts, labor, etc. Although I was impressed when i saw (and heard) Eagle1's car in person, Mike's personality was enough to turn me away from their shop.
