Just got my kit installed and here is what came with it:

Variabe boost controller:You set the min. psi you want it to come on and the max psi where the pump maxes out.

Pump: look just like the ones we use for booster pumps on water filtration systems

Plastic hose: looks cheap but pretty tuff, just keep it away from really hot surfaces.

Check valves, cloged warning light/system.

I must say that www.coolingmist.com customer service is very friendly and informative. I'm looking forward to seeing how this all works out. I have not had a chance to really test it out because I'm waiting for a retune with some modifications.

BTW...on the Z you only need a single stage and the variable boost controller makes progressive spray increase a breeze.

Sexy, huh? Sorry I could not resist. BTW, we have all hose types available for those that like stainless/teflon or flame resistant synthetic.

Opinions on Coolingmist($299) v. Snow($399)? Both products look comparable; trying to figure out what the extra $100 thru Snow offers...

I am Bias but I will answer your questions in a very practical way. You are comparing our boost switch based system to thier controller based system, thats the difference in price.

You should compare our $299.95 Deluxe Kit + tank to there $299.00 kit if you want to compare ables to apples. Look at what each kit includes and you will find your answer.

The $399.95 kit from snow performance is their controller kit. Compare those to our controller kits. Our controller kits range from $450-$599.00.

Our controller is the most advanced "progressive" style controller on the market. I'm sure you will want to reseach both to see what you like better, but make sure you research carefuly as there is no comparison interms of features, abilities and construction of the actual unit.

I went with Snow because they had a kit that gave me what I wanted not too complicated but still had all the features I needed and for a great price.
Coolingmist confused the heck out of me because there is too much to choose from and nothing specific enough to what I wanted, they also did not have a boost controlled controller at the time.

I finally got my kit installed by the way and it works awesome.

Does the kit that I see in the link below come with a standard size nozzle, or are nozzle extra and determined by your power output?

I assume the difference between a boost switch and a controller is "all-or-nothing" injection v. "variable by psi" injection?

I dont know if you are talking to me, but I dont see any link. Our controller kit can change the flow with the hardware or software so there is no worry about injector size. You can dynamically change the flow. The regular boost kits we get the HP range and size the nozzle.

Our controller is capable of running off MAF, TPS , Boost or Boost and TPS or boost and MAF. With the controller you can vary flow based on boost or 0-5V input. Ours has a CPU, software program that datalogs and lets you change the variables.

Thank you for the reply

Using WI, what can a typical user see in 'octane boost' using 50/50 methanol/water injection? Target octane level is 96 using 91 pump gas.

Doable?

Here is some feedback from the new coolingmist system. With supercharging (procharger) and UTEC plus 50/50 mix of water/meth there is almost no trace of detonation loged. This is great news! Water/Meth injection is such great engine insurance, it really does what is is intended to do. The boss at coolingmist has also been very cool in helping and advice

Our intake temp were dramatically lower and no knock, that's a great mod if you ask me

just purchased a dual stage set-up from cooling mist on Ebay for 279 shipped.
It has 2 sprayes, 2 adjustable boost controllers, etc. I did not come with a tank but I'm going to install a large tank in my trunk. Hopefully I can install this before my car gets tuned!
I'll keep ya'all posted
