YEAH YOU HEARD ME... stuff happens.. i knew the risk.. and it happened.. as of right now i expected it because everything that could go wrong with this car since i started adding mods has gone wrong.. i have had the worst luck with this car since i got it in may

1. i hit a deer after 3 weeks of getting my first body kit
2. my first wheels maya rt5's got ****ed up by wheel cleaner
3. my new kit's paint dosnt really match and i still have to deal with that
4. one of my eye lids fell off somewhere and is now gone
5. today when my car was being towed to mrc by my dad one of the side skirts got scraped up
6. my motor is blown
7. the body shop held my car for 3 to 4 months taking there time because i was in iraq they felt they could take advantage of me or something.. i wouldnt be pissed if the car came out looking perfect.. which you would think taking that long but it looks like a half *** job! they seriously waited till the last day to finish up my car and they still have my old rear bumper (kenstyle) they were supposed to fix so i could sell mind you i dropped the car off there at the end of may and picked it up in the begining of sept.. and im still dealing with them

IM SURE THERE IS SOME **** IM LEAVING OUT BUT THATS THE JIST OF MY MISERABLE TIME WITH THIS MONEY PIT I CALL MY CAR...I JUST WANT IT RUNNING AND LOOKING HOW IT SHOULD.. IS THAT TO MUCH TO ASK FOR WHEN I PAY PEOPLE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I DO? I MEAN SERIOUSLY.. ITS NOT LIKE IM GETTING A FAVOR DONE.. ITS YOUR JOB TO PAINT CARS.. O

mind you i have only had my car for about 6 weeks this year... being that im in iraq i can only come home so often to drive it.. and yes i drive the **** out of it when i can....

the install was done by my boys and one of there dad's who builds race cars.. i got it tuned at altered atmosphere in maryland.. ill scan one of the dyno sheets later... right now im getting everything fixed by mrc .. so far julian has been nothing but great with me and helping me out... i have seriously spent so much god damn money its not even funny.. and the car is not how i wanted it to turn out.. body work wise is where im most dissapointed.. for the amount of money i have spent.. my car should loook like a million bucks.. instead the paint on the rear bumper is a whole 2 or 3 shades off.. as for the engine.. seriously its not the kit .. i think im just one of thos unlucky mother ****ers.. who gets ****ed over by anything possible that could go wrong.. the car was running great up until it happened.. still dont know exactly what went wrong.. but something is def wrong... not a big deal because i was gonna upgrade the internals anyways... I think mrc is going to take care of me just fine now.. seriously i doubt anything else could go wrong.. at least i hope so

well there it is.. IM ****ING PISSED

 

ohh and i put about 5,000 miles on the aps before it blew. and only about 1,000 after the tune.

 

i thought the aps tt comes tuned already.

the APS reputation for not blowing motors on the Z can only go downhill as more time goes on.

As for the body shop who painted your **** you should not have taken the car until they got it right. Why did you take the car when the work was not properly done?? Come on bro....

There could always be an installation error of the kit BTW. I'm surprised you blew your tuned APS motor. Very abnormal? Maybe it's just me who thinks so. I wonder what the cause is.

 

no idea why... i was in 5th gear just driving with traffic on I-95 when it felt like i lost power so i quickly got off on the next exit and i could hear the clanking noise.. i knew instantly what happened.. this was at about 5pm then i sat there for 6 hours waiting for a flat bed.. then we drove it all the way back to magnolia DE.. it just got dropped off today at mrc so ill find out what went wrong here in in the next week or soo

 

i know i shoulnt of taken the car but like i said i was only home from iraq for 3 weeks and i really wanted to drive my baby while i was home and i was gonna bring the car back after i drove it while i was home and after HIN.. but now the body work stuff has to be delayed because of the engine..right now im back in iraq.. sitting here pissed off with alot of **** to take care of..

 

you did it on purpose, dont lie. all this talk about building a motor, you just blew it so youd have no choice.

Please keep us posted on the out come! I know you went with the pulley kit and flywheel. I too went with the same setup. Just want to make sure the crank didnt take a ****!

 

sorry to hear about that. I know what u are going through since i went threw the same thing with a blown motor. U say u heard a clanking sound? Can it be possible its a bent rod?

 

Jimmy, That sucks. Sorry to hear what happened. I guess I see why you've been inquiring about a new SGP motor. Hope goes well with the new motor.

Hey man. Don't stress it. Focus on getting back home! One of the people in our Z crew is going through the same serving overseas and wishing he got back to finish some work and drive the car. Good luck, wish you the best. Everything will be straight just give it time. I know you'd rather have a bulletproof motor than a stock one anyways so it will be worth it in the end.

 

What kind of driving conditions were you under when it blew? (I know you said in 5th gear on I-95, but can you be more specific?)
