Blew My Motor On A Aps Tt

Does Altered Atmosphere actually have a high rate of blown motors, or is it just that they're popular so they seem to blow more? From reading the board for a while, they seem to have more blown motors than anyone else regardless of kit...
This is getting very interesting:
1) Lean tune from 2700-5000 rpm.
2) Install completed by shop other than authorized APS Dealer
3) Shop that does tune has "fair share" of blown motors on various F.I. kits
4) Most everything else that could have gone wrong with car has-
Murphy's Law in serious effect.

jimmy i just pm'ed you. i heard xxtuning tunes unichip and one of their guys just came back from training on the system. i like the direction your'e going with the utec. sounds like a great system. i had heard about your car from some guys in the area but did'nt know you had a aps tt. once i get my jic i'll probably head to xx in conn. cause they have a dynapack, which is the best way to tune this system. hope to see your car out there soon and good luck.
Jimmy- dude, so sorry to hear- I know what a pain in the *** it is to try to mod a car from overseas. one thing I dont quite follow is how AA managed to tune the car if they cant unlock the unichip?
if I decide to go with the APS, Im just going to ship my car to Tuan at GRD. $600 for shipping is small price to pay for an established unichip tuner.

Jimmy,
I just talked to Jason, and apparently your car was running 3Qts of oil low
It sounds like rod end bearing failure do to lack of oil. Most likely you had a leak on an oil line that after 5000 miles got bad and went so low it failed. This is their preliminary assumption..They think the tunning and the fact it was the 300hp motor had little to do with it,but are leaning more towards an inexperienced installer..
