thats funny cause right after it blew when i was stranded for 6 hours i checked the oil and it looked good .. It was at a nissan dealership for the past week and half trying to get a diagnosed but i doubt they took oil out they didnt even do anything they just wanted to sell me a new engine? *shrugs* maybe my dip stick was reading incorrectly.. i dont know

More guys on these boards have FI than ever and we're seeing less and less blown stock motors, that alone should tell you something.

Oh man, sorry to hear that, hope you will get your car up and running soon.
Off topic,
But since I see many FI experts here I thought I ask...
I just had my Tnetics ST installed last Saturday. Standard reflash with some leftover N/A mods. I sit at 15.x a/f at idle and 10.x at wot. Am I okay? 15.x at idle is not too lean? I had 14.5 at idle when I was N/A.
Sorry to go off topic, but I didnt want to start a new thread for a quick question.

Hey Jimmy, very sorry about your string of bad luck and I certainly hope it changes for the better soon.
Just wanted to let you know I appreciate your sharing this with all of us. That's the beauty of this forum is to share these experiences (good and bad) so we can all learn from them. I know it's saved me from a few mistakes along the way.
Good luck!
Ron

I know how you feel man. I've f*ked up most of the things I've done to my car in some way or another, and wasted a lot of cash in the process.
Maybe with all that bank hazard pay you're making in Iraq you can just get a new built motor and really enjoy the car.

the reason that one could not be 3 quarts low if they saw any sort of reading on the dipstick, is because at about 1.5-2 quarts low, the dipstick will not have any oil present!!! at 3 quarts low, the oil level is well below that of the lowest point on the dipstick
hope that explains the why...
