Has anybody looked into VQ40DE for a swap?
anybody have dimensions?
I know it has
95.5mm bore
92mm Stroke

I already tried that. The problem is with the bell housing. It doesn't match up to the 350z tranny. It can work tho. you'd need to modify your drive train.

So there was 3 things that we were going to try. We ordered a 4.0 from the above platforms. The pistons are 9.1 or 9.5 from the factory and look forged already. We were going to try and put my heads on that block but didn't think it would fit cuz the deck height and then the whole bell housing fitment. It would of been way more money than if we stroked it. And swapping the whole motor in would of ended in the same result.

Thanks for the link, but Iam talking of something doable for us mortals!
I need to know if the block is higher and by how much and if the bolt pattern for the tranny is the same.

Read my above post. Im not sure how much higher, but give Zcargarage a call on Monday. They are at SEMA this week. I think Rob might have the number but it wont work without major modification.
