Al, just out of curiousity, have you run the throttle-position and idle-air re-learning procedures on your car since you did the Tnetics install? May not help, but it can't hurt.

Yes iirc there are 3 TB related reset procedures on Techno's site, I have done all of them.

Man, I hope you get your car working, I am really interested on one of these kits too, and I'd like to hear some good feedback. If you could list all the tools you used on the installation, I would really apreciate it. Hopefully you'll get this issue resolved so we all can learn from it. I would like to try installing my turbo kit too. But I'd like to see all the details on your install. Specially on what could cause problems, such as the one you have.

Good luck, and I wanna see a video letin' her rip!!

Can somebody do me a favor. Get in your car and turn the ignition key to on for 2 seconds. Then turn the key to off. You are supposed to hear an operating sound from the TB. I hear a fuked up metal grinding for a few seconds when I do this. I dont think it was as pronounced before the problem I just want verification. Can somebody do this and tell me what they hear? TIA

I reset the ecu clearing the code. The sound my car just made compared to earlier when the car stopped responding to throttle inputs is way different. One is like a motor moving, the other a loud metal grinding...

it might have been because of the fresh install. The TB needs to learn a closed position and that might be all you are hearing. That said, you might just be overly sensitive to any noises the TB is making now that you are trying to remedy said issue

You should hear the fuel pump cycling for 2 secs, and the TB making a mechanical/electrical sounds for 2 secs as well.

BluZee, thank you soooo much for the great price and overnighting me the TB, I installed it little over 1 hour ago, reset everything, ecu and all TB procedures and took it for a nice 30 mile back road drive. All is fixed!!! No more partial throttle surging, or stalling. It was the throttle chamber. Thanks to agentsmith who shed light on the situation as well.

The car pulls so damn hard, this was my first drive wit no issues, no hiccups. The hesitation WOT seems to be gone. Its cold-30 degrees out and I get consistent 9psi, so Im happy even in these conditions Im not overboosting with the larger than 3" exhaust. Ill post more thoughts on the kit later and this week. Dyno should be this upcoming Saturday!! It was a bad coincidence that my TB failed after install, but all is well now

Well I have a very small exhaust leak (only audible on start-up) right before the WB bung so I think its off. What is showing now is high 15's @ idle, high 10's down low and up to 4000rpm, and mid 11's as it climbs to redline. Im not really going too crazy boosting right now above 5000rpm, because I realize my A/F readings may not be 100% accurate. I plan on fixing the leak this week and that will resolve the last small issue I have. Besides that everything is great. I get 7psi at 3000rpm's and full boost around 3500rpm.
