Probably..After talking with Alberto we pretty much agree that we need to check that AFR with another wideband. Its reading 15.6:1 steady at idle and sometimes goes leaner. That exactly 1 point to lean at idle. Chances are its off across the board. Should know more soon though...

Mia,

Don't take this the wrong way but it seams like you don't believe any wideband o2? I know you are only trying to help and I really hope it is the wideband. But it could be the mods he has on his car with the stock ECU flash. You are very good at trying to help people with there problems but everyone who has a lean condition you blame the wideband they are using. I really hope you guys fine the problem. Good Luck.

Well its pretty obvius in tis case that its reading 1 point too rich at idle. And fyi I actually went through a list of things with him over the phone. After watching the video and eliminating somethings that was the logical answer.

Full tank of 101 (yes the current 91 was drained till the car shut off). First pass same numbers, second pass timing up to 16 degrees advance, third pass 17 degrees advance. All the while power climbing. By the 10th pass on the dyno timing was fluctuating on the scanner between 17 and 18 max advance at full boost and power output went to 381 RWHP and tq was 378 ft/lb. The ECU relearns its knock correction curve for each type of octane. Ask AYNONE on the east coast who did before and afters a week apart with no changes. Laww post install 370 RWHP. One week later 390 RWHP NO CHANGES. I'm not saying its not blow out but assuming the plugs are gapped at stock or even better .035 its not likely...Especially if they are brand new..
knock on nissan 350z is only good up to 5200 rpm after that it stops reading. I know its a self learning Ecu thats why i think TN needs to fix there flashes a bit more. the 05 Mossy car Still detonates up top and a handfull of 03s are detonating thats why lots of people are seeking alternatives hense the utec. I betcha there are alot of cars out there right now with the great TN kit that dont know what to listen for and have it or think it should be some huge power feeler when detonation happends. its almost a silent killer. btw i just want to clarify i do love my TN kit. i just premix it with race gas and its fine. I am waiting for my utec delivery and I will fix the tune that way

Actually Greg's car does not knock anymore...They did pull some more timing on the flash for the 05s but its doesn't knock at all unless he lied to me yesterday when I talked to him... Why do you think theres a bit of a rich flat spot at 5500 in the flash. Turbonetics wanted to make sure it was WAY rich when the knock detection stops...

Yes and no. Unfortunately my car has been having some issues to say the least. Im working with MIA and Reggie from TN to get it resolved. At this point it seems to be an electrical problem, and its getting worse Ive tried a few things that might fix the problem with no luck. My car when turned on at this point is showing SLIP and VDC OFF lights on immediately, and when I push the gas the car does not respond, it sits at idle and wont rev. Ill let you guys know what we find, when we find it

Lol, I know man. Seems the problem started with the car stalling a few times after boosting. Then it would start dropping to idle on the highway and I would lose control of the car-meaning I push the accelerator and it won trev. AT this point the SLIP and VDC OFF lights come on. After turning the car off and on it works fine. Then it would do it again. Ive tried resetting the ecu, the TB, checking all electrical connectors, injector harness, ecu harness nothing. The car is so bad that on Saturday it stalled out or dropped to idle driving about 10X in 5 miles. Yesterday I turned the car on, let it warm up and when I sat in it the lights were all on(SLIP/VDC OFF). After restarting the car over 10X-I cant get the lights to not illuminate or the engine to respond. I think its the ECU. Im open for any suggestions guys....

oh jeezz... I hope the TN reflash didnt screw it all up, or could be something simple like the wiring...see if the accel wiring is all intact..damn it.. I wish I could help, but Im still learning the Z...got some experience with Stangs, heh...but thats about it.

I hope you figure this out... If its not the ECU.. have you considered bringing it to AAM or something to see if they might be able to figure it out?
