New member in the FI club
Well, I am officailly joining the FI club. I dropped my car off on Thursday at CP racing and WOW what an impressive shop, thanks for the tour Eric. Also thanks to Sharif at Forged Internals for the GREAT customer service, prices, and advice. I should be going back to NC on Friday to get my car and give some feed back on the results. I decided to go with the safest set up I could, as my car is a daily driver, and until I can get the motor built. My choices were:
Turbonetics Tuner kit
Greddy E-manage Ultimate/ Auto Sport wiring harness
RC440CC injectors
AAM return fuel system/ Walbaro fuel pump
JWT oil spacer
Defi BF series boost and fuel pressure gauges
Innovative A/F wideband
Blitz boost controller
Blitz turbo timer
NGK plugs
ACT 6 puck clutch
JWT flywheel

AAM return fuel system/ Walbaro fuel pump

For the same as the money as the EU, boost controller, and the Auto Sport harness you could have gotten the Turbo XS UTEC with a MAP sensor, and boost control solenoid and it would have accomplished ECU functions, and boost control. Much much better approach.
If it's not too late you might want to make that change. The UTEC is a much better choice.
Welcome to the FI club, and more importantly. Another Turbonetics brother from another mother.

Yes, I agree but there is not a lot of experience out there right now with the U-TEC and it also wasn't available - back order. Sharif has the experience I was looking for with the E-manage.

We are going to be close with everything as I also have the 350EVO 3.9 gears, UR 3 pc pully set, Motordynne 3/8 plenum spacer, and Borla exhaust.

He may have but still more experience with the E-manage according to him.
Yes he is very experienced with the EU, that is what alot of people are getting i talked to Eric @ CP and he said there were only 25 UTEC in the first shipment to the U.S. Great Mass Production LOL.
Welcome to the club and it sounds like you're pleased you made the trip. They have a great shop up there; Sharif and Eric really know their stuff. Now just wait 'til you take that first FI drive .......wow!
After the long drive trailering the Z, he is probably still sleeping it off.
He's got a very nice ride.
To answer the previous poster, yes, I've tune a couple of UTEC FI cars so far, and I am very comfortable with it. The main reason we didnt put the UTEC on is that nobody has them in stock.
The EU is more than sufficient at 400whp+
His car is a beast!

+1 on catching up on my sleep.
Well, as Sharif said the car is a beast! The car dynoed at 407whp and 415tq. First driving the car I was a bit cautious and gave it some gas and the tires broke lose(test drive with Sharif) Holy **** that power felt awsome. I finally got to drive the car last night coming home from work without all the traffic and still took it kind of easy until I learn to read the car again, breaking the tires lose is a whole new term for me, I mean my Z before would smoke the tires in first and second but with the turbo it was a totally different feel as it come on incredibly sudden, not in a bad way but in a way I have to respect the car. To finish my drive home story that I should post in the racing section, I was almost home and came to my turn off the hwy and saw a 04 mustang at the light and said what the heck lets see what the Z can do. As I pulled up the light went and I pulled next to him in third gear and knew he at least had exhaust as I could hear him rev the car so I reved back and hit it... before I knew it I was looking back and he was 3 car lengths back, so I thought I hit it to early and waited for him to catch back up. This time I let him hit it first and I was in forth and hit it we stayed next to each other until I hit boost (should've been in third) and again I jumped three to four cars on him. This thing is INSANE!!! Thanks to Sharif and Eric.
Once I get access to a scanner I will post the dyno.
