Default minor complaints after going FI

I was wondering if anyone might have these problems, there not that big, but it kind of gets on my nerves. I understand its not a stock Z anymore. I have a greddy kit, with a HKS FCON VPRO, full exhaust.

1. My car idles for chit, it doesnt die or anything, just chatters some time's. I was told to have nissan raise the idle, is this correct??

2. My exhaust is "y" pipes single shot out, i have started to notice, black residue from the exhaust, my car runs really rich. I dont mind cleaning the bottem of the bumper everyday, I wish someone would make like a carbonfiber panel to put by it

3. If you have a full exhaust, doesnt it suck when you got the windows down at the light? The exhaust smell, well i bought some strong *** cologne for that-solved

other than that my car is now labled a "beast' i finally raced about every car i wanted to kill on my listed, and either killed or pulled
1. STI (got beat so bad, this is why i went TT) killed by 4 lengths on the highway, ide post the video, but i walk him so bad it doesnt even look like a race.
2. Pulled on a older viper
3. pulled past a ferrari modena and f355
4. any finally last night to a www.dallasimports.net meet THE new z06, giggley-giggley-giggley-oh riiiight~! Well, we took off, he actually got a little start on me on the hwy from a 50 punch, pulled on him by about a length. IM AM SATISFIED, PERFORMANCE WORK=DONE=SAVED $$$

So my experience, with the greddy kit, Jotech motorsports, HKS tuning?? Well worth every penny, im almost on a year on the greddy kit, going strong *knock on wood*. Would i again?? You bet your left nut.

Well for my My Z is FINITO, thank you JOTECH, Tony, Nick, Kenny, and of coarse the guys in the limelight justine and willie

I had my ECU flashed to raise the idle by Technosquare. Kenny can have this done for you. Nissan cannot raise your idle with the VPro. I tried it a while ago with no success.

reseting the ecu helped my idle problems and mine were alot worse than yours, in my car it would actually shut off a bunch.

For #1, Nissan raised my idle, and that helped, even though my idle wasn't bad too bad.

You can get idle raised with out reflashing the ecu, so Im pretty sure it will be a lot cheaper than $600...just get in touch with them and ask them.

I believe Nissan can only up the idle on 2003 models. if you have a 2004 on up you have to do it through a Technosquare reflash.

i have a 03, i know t32gzz and Ellas1, i have a similar set-up ( no-built motor ) to them. Im pretty sure t32gzz has a 03, like mine, If it didnt work for him, its not gonna work for me. Thanx for taking one for the team, Tim~! Thats freakin stupid IMO 200.00 to raise the idle and like 600.00 for a reflash?? Its not like, one takes more time to do, than the other (maybe 2 seconds). I swear, just because we got Z's......translated "charge 3x the amount it should be". Sometimes i miss my acura, Too bad the chic's don't think the same way Re-flash here i come~!!

oh and Ellas1 the GTC's are back on, WOW...big difference

Mine is set at 1000 RPMs. The only reason you should ever need to raise it is if you add cams though.

I'm having mine set to 850 rpms, just to get rid of that flywheel chatter on idle.

I have a 04 model and found an 03 ecu which drops in place without any noticable difference. We then used the Nissan tool (forgot the name) to raise the idle.
