Other than a build engine I would like to get a list of items needed in order to get up to 700whp safely and reliably.
I know there are lots of threads dealing with some of those but I'd like it all on one thread....many we can sticky it?
Here are the things I can think of right now:
ATS Clutch and LSD
Race Logic Traction Control
Stillen Camber Kit
Tein Coilovers
Upgraded Fuel Pump and Injectors
What other suspension items are needed?
What else am I missing?

Here is what I would add to your list
ECM (HKS Vpro, UTEC, or similar)
Beefed up rear axles.
1000cc injectors
Cams
Ported heads (maybe)
ARP studs.
3" exhaust and downpipes
I think your biggest problem will be the APS turbos. The intergral waste gates are not adequate at all to flow that kind of cfm. This is not a knock against the APS kit, because its awesome, just not intended for 700+rwhp.
Also, having owned a 700+rwhp car before, safe and reliable are hard to come by, especially if you drag race.

I already have Stage II upgraded Axles, but will probably go to Stage III.
My goal is more around 600whp but I want to be able for it to handle up to 700...
I did forget to add the upgraded wastegates for the APS kit to up the boost
and of course the ECM
I have a good idea on the Build engine already but want to make sure I have all the other components covered as well

May I suggest you contact GurgenPB... PM him.. He is very much into Instrumentation and very methodical in his approch. His current build runs like a top.. The builder is in the bay area (SF) and did a first class job... A Russian/Armenian/English Speaking Engineer. He might have a bit of Alimain.

Cheers Amy

Of course Wld350Z (Tony) may be of assistance.

I dunno about that, their is an 800whp APS'd TT 350Z I know well of. Maybe his waste gates were modded but whatever. Same builder who did this one also did the one AmyCroft speaks of.
edit:
Oh yeah, and that 800whp Z run's low 9's,

When I made the same change in my Supra, I went from running 11.80's stick to 10.80's auto with no other changes.
Youll want to look into the needed drivetrain upgrades as well. If you go with the turbo400 you should be good but youll still want to do something with the rear end. Otherwise if you have a MT youll need to look at clutches and maybe cryo treating the syncros in the transmission or something. Then youll have to do something with the half-shafts like driveshaft shops axles.
If you do the turbo400 it would be cool to look into a 4-link style read end setup with a solid axle or something too.

Dear Meatbag,
Please put down the crack pipe.
The rear diff has held up over 1k hp in testing and practice. If you read any of the previous posts you would have seen that tomcat has upgraded axles and clutch. At no point did he state he was going to switch over to t400 trans. The previous poster suggested this route since he did this w/ his Supra. If you have read any other posts by tomcat you will know he is not looking for an all out drag car. He likes to shift.
The idea of a 4-link in a daily driven street Z is just wrong in so many ways....

If anything, see about getting non-internal gate turbine housings and swapping over to external gates with higher spring pressures....that way higher boost settings via the controller will be more steady, instead of doing more than double the spring setting.
it's not so much about the actuators, but the actual flow of the turbine housing made for internal gate...at that kind of power, turbulence in there caused by the internal gate stuff could be dangerous.

In addition to a sleeved block, you have a good list there.
With ATS, you will want their triple disc carbon clutch with 1350kg pressure plate.
You will also need a stage II fuel system, as the single walbro poops out at about 550whp or so.
Other than that, its just the basics that you have already purchased, or covered. And of course...solid tune...preferably with a UTEC or other standalone with knock feedback.

Have you read any posts in this forum alone, there are quite a few people who have many a plan on what to do with 700whp.
In my case, I compete at IDRC and NHRA and want to work myself up in to some better classes...eventually the car will be track only but not in the immediate future.
