Default Danger in running without SC hooked up?

Quick questions guys - i am having some horrible rumbling out of my Vortech Supercharger blower that is not being fixed by my adjusting any of the belts or pulleys. Until i get a definate answer from Vortech or diagnosis the problem, is there any danger in running the vehicle without the supercharger hooked up? In other words, if i remove the gilmer belt, and tension pulley so that the SC is not doing anything, am i hurting anything by driving the vehicle. I have to go on a long trip by the end of the week (700-800) miles and don't want to run it if i am hurting the car. Will my fuel injection be effected or will it adjust to not having the forced induction? I think i have seen on here that someone will run their car NA until they get a belt replaced on the SC system - is this ok? Thanks

No problems . I would un do the IC pipe , the one thats goes down behind the blower . Turn it out towards the fender and put a piece of foam filter over the end of the pipe . SO the car can breath much better . Might want to reset the ECU also

its the cars computer . disconnect the battery for 12 hour...easiest way . but getting it to breath better would be more important

If the noise your talking about sounds like rocks in a blender at low idle it seems to be pretty common. when I had the vortech I had the same sound. It would go away when I turned on my a/c and my idle went up to 800 rpms.
