I would love to take my car to APS have them work that magic but shipping costs are prohibitive. I thought I would've been happy with the out of box power but like Darth Vader I got corrupted. Should I have gotten a tuner system? Yes but I didn't think I would do more with the car and they didn't have a tuner kit out then. I'm not complaining and I still love my kit and I'm happy that they are looking out for the people with higher power goals.

Right now it is between:
Spec 3+ with stage 5 pressure plate
Exedy Twin Disc D-core
ATS twin disc with 1350kg pressure plate
Right now, Spec seems less than confident their 3+ will hold without the stage 5 pressure plate. I have concern that pressure plate will make the car hard to drive.
the Exedy is CRAZY expensive, but is supposed to be awesome in terms of how streetable it is.
The ATS is about the most I care to spend, should hold the power and have a longer life than the spec, but I have concern about drivability. I know sharif pushes these clutches and a lot of Z owners run them, but I have seen mixed reviews about the feel of the this clutch.
I looked at the clutchmasters briefly, but it looks like there twin discs are full metalic, which I would think would make them very harsh

Choosing a clutch is such an ordeal. You just never know until you drive with it. The carbon clutches make me nervous because I couldn't imagine driving without slipping the clutch. Good luck with your decision.

You guys are crazy. My mother who is almost 60 drives my Z with the ATS twin in there and she doesnt even have a negative comment on it.
Whoever says its hard to drive, needs to practice driving stick. While it requires a little more technique then stock, its EASY to drive.

Get the ATS and call it a day. Lots of people have used it with good feedback on here. Exedy is very nice as well however for the price its not worth it IMO. There aren't many Z's I know of that have it either.
Ziv - your spec is already shot?

I am heavily leaning towards the ATS right now, but like I said, mixed reviews are leaving me second guessing. that would be the case on what ever clutch I decide on though. Just need to decide and get it done with.

Gman, do you have the dual or triple?

Mine has only slipped 2 or 3 times, but that was because it wasn't warmed up. After it warmed up it grabbed like a biatch.
