Default ARC Oil Catch Can and AAM Spec Modified ARC Catch Can

We have found that mounting a standard Greddy or Universal type oil catch can in the 350Z is a huge pain. Fortunetly ARC makes this awesome unit that installs right under the stock strut tower on the passenger side. One downfall to this setup is its more for Naturally Aspirated motors. That is why we are offering our Custom AAM Spec Modified ARC Catch can.

With a Forced Induction car it helps immensely to utilize intake vacuum (pre-turbo/suprecharger) to evacuate the crankcase of excess pressure created by blow-by and other factors. Ring sealing is better and seals/gaskets are less likely to blow out. At the same time, without a catch can, the atomized oil and carbon will eventually build-up in your intake piping and intercooler causing a loss of efficiency.

How can this be avoided? Well you could use a universal catch can and try to rig a bracket up to secure it in the engine bay. Or you could use our Modified ARC catch can that fits perfectly into the engine bay.

We are using this design on quite a few cars, including a customers car that just made 501RWHP on the stock motor with an HKS F-Con PRO (shown in last picture).

ARC Catch Can Retial: $269
SALE PRICE: $219

AAM Spec Modified ARC Catch Can: $319

We will weld a tube onto the ARC Catch can so that you can connect a vacuum line to the intake nipple prior to the Turbo or Supercharger or on the Factory nipple just as you would with a "Universal Catch Can". The ARC does not include enough vacuum tubing to connect to the intake so you will need to supply this (readily available at NAPA or many auto parts stores).

Please note these pictures are of an AAM Spec Modified ARC Catch Can but it uses AN fittings. The modified catch can will have a tube welded on that is similiar to the existing ARC tube you see in the pictures above. We will also weld the vent holes at the top of the catch can closed. As you can see our new tube exits on the left side of the ARC catch can. This allows us to utilize the ARC internal baffle system.

question, in that last pic, the top ss braided line in front of the motor at the "T", is that going behind the timing cover and hitting another "T" that goes to both valve covers?

Yes. The ARC takes the PCV line and connects that to the Catch Can and then brings the line from the valve cover on the drivers side over to the cach can. Then there is a cap put on the PCV tube on the intake manifold.

This may be a dumb question, will this work with the APS strut bar or Crawford?

If you come across one to test fit, would you mind updating this thread or PMing me. This is what's keeping me from buying it.

Assuming it fits an APS setup, is this something that can be installed by a hack without special tools? Please let me know once it's tested on APS...

You guys should go ahead and include the extra lines and connections needed. Make another few bucks on it, and us lazy consumers don't have to do anything extra.
