Check this idea especially more for TT owners
What do you guys think if we would cut a hole in the opposite side of r intake duct to make one their so we TT owners can get cooler air into the passenger side turbo also. Do you guys think its to crazy and it can mess up something. Are their any important lines that go through their. Here r some pics of what im talking about let me know what you guys think and is it possible with out making any damages to the chassis of the car.
I personally think it would be a very good mod since we dont really get that much cold air into the engine bay.

I would think it would be a good idea...would allow cooler air to that side...that cannot be in anyway a BAD thing...as for it looking "ghey" haha i dunno couldnt be any worse than what overzealous has done to the front of his Z...

the things you do for that extra .9 HP
overzealous1 wont admit it, but he got drunk, with a buzz saw thinking about "the next step"

i am moving my air filters to either the fender well, somewhat like the APS TT, and putting fluid coolers above the intercooler... or I will be putting the filters right above my intercooler and using the fender wells for fluid coolers.
Either way, I knew I needed at least a little air inlet into my fender wells for this year, so I went ahead and took care of that before painting the car... I am going to redo the mesh a little nicer next week... but you get the point.

I like Phunks idea! Nice
IMO what ovwezealous did looks good with the greddy front lip im foinf ro see how much he will charge me to do that to mines. Better airflow and more cooling. But back to the subject about the two like varis ducts i dont know about that but what im saying is cutting a hole like our drivers side in the passengers side of the radiator support. So now we have another direct entry of cooler air to our passenger side turbo and even creating cooler temperatures in the engine bay.
But what im worried about is if this will creat any problems as to weekness in the radiator support or chassis. And i dont really care the varis air ducts i dont care if i can do this and if overzealous does the bumper mod it should be more the good. I just want to know if its possible cutting a hole their.

Would probably maybe look a little better with some sort of mesh grill or something in there that won't restrict air flow that much...I like the way it looks at certain angels...very brazen tho
Do you still have the stock radiator? If so the thing is plastic and weighs pretty much nothin...cuttin a new hole on the pass side i highly doubt it would weaken it to the point of some structual failure.
If Overzealous can do your mod then that may be enough and would not need the extra duct cut in the support.

Yea but if you think about it more air probably leaves then enters due to the fact that air is coming in by the bumper and the side markers are sideways so little air runs through their.
Another way I was thinking about it was to run some kind of scope that brings air up by the shield and leads it all the way to the filter but then when it rain that might get you unwanted water in the engine bay.
IMO the best way would be to just make a cut in the same place as the OEM since both filter sit their and fabricate some type of large scope that leads air into the opening instead of leading it through the opening so when it rains water does not go directly to the filter. Let me know
I don’t think you really have to repaint if you cut precisely

My idea is just to open it up like the drivers side so the intake can get air. And with the bumper mod lie yours the air will be going right into the vent. I think it would be very beneficial.
