reliable yet affordable boosting
i use to have a Z and well i had a kid and now im driving a is300...its fun but i miss my z so im thinking soon here im gonna get a used g35 but i wanna go twin turbo...im looking to have around 350whp-380whp but i wanna stay reliable yet also affordable...can i get some suggestions? heres what i was thinking and let me know what you guys think..
turbonetics single turbo kit and also upgrade the clutch when the kit goes on...or do greddy but with a different ecu rather than emanage and also upgrade the clutch...im trying to stick away from doing any type of internal work.

half the reason we got the IS was because it was fun and rwd yet we also got a 3yr certified waranty so we dont wanna lose that...plus after i get a g35 the IS will become my gfs car.
i was actually kinda planning on getting a new bmw 335ci...twin turbo inline 6 coupe and pushing about 300hp....only reason why i didnt wanna stick with that plan is because they will be about 45k and i wont wanna mod it due to voiding the warranty...i can get a used g35 for about 25k...be boosted for about 10k and still be 10k cheaper than the bmw and quite a bit faster....
Your plan sounds good to me Zectasy, it sounds like the turbonetics kit is pretty reliable with the reflash right out of the box and priced well at only $5000 with a 1 year warranty. The reliability will be compromised only when you get bored of the 350ish rwhp and get more mods

i appreciate the opinion but theres something i absolutely hate about superchargers...hmm...i wonder how much it would run to just get my motor built just to be safe...

there is one saying you must remember...
Fast and Reliable isn't Cheap
Cheap and Reliable isn't Fast
Fast and Cheap isn't Reliable
But to directly answer your question...I think the Turbonetics ST would def be the way I would suggest you to go for most cost effectiveness. Since you are not looking for more than 400whp the Turbonetics will be able to get you there pretty easily.

thanks for the opinion...i just personally feel that the turbonetics would be good to start off at...and if i get the need for more power i could always do a rebuild and push more boost or do a turbo upgrade...i just think it would be the best bet for me right now...
with your greddy setup are you on the basic kit pretty much? no new upgrades in the motor itself? as in pistons or rods or anything? i have heard alot of badstuff about the ecu that the greddy kit comes with.

I still feel for a street car ST is the way to go. Lag is sometimes a good thing, although TN ST doesn't exactly have 'lag' since they use a higher technology turbo and great piping.
