Darton sleaves
Looking for opions on where the cost of sleaving block is worth it. I have a vortec with ssv and every thing else I can bolt to it. Going to 2.87 pulley and car is daily driver.I have a spare block so down time is minamal.I would do rods ect.
In your case with a Vortech the $1000 price of sleeves and the $1000 of machine work is not worth it. Just internals in the stock block will more than handle what that kit will produce, even with an upgraded blower. There are a few guys who have run 600+whp on TT Z's with much more TQ on stock sleeves, save your money, or spent it on other things, good luck on your build.

The sleeving process is an extra safety measure when going above and beyond 550rwhp...this is strictly an opinion, as no one has "proven" this...the superior cooling capacity of the darton sleeved blovk, IMHO, is one of the top reasons to go this route to ensure longevity and safety in your motor...check out this page:
