Nope, the customer was satisfied with the power it made out of the box, and did not want to push the car past a conservative tune..The A/F dips into the 10's up top...There is an easy 30more hp in the car just on A/F alone..

Sorry every one I should have said that originaly. I didn't want anything more than what the kit came with as far as tune or extra boost, for now! I am sure by spring time I will want a nice tune and strech out a few more ponies. Right now I am going to concentrate on getting the interior finished befor spring and then decide what to do.

The tune is the most important part of the setup. Not that you have to run more power, but cleaning up the timing and AFRs to give you a smoother power band, better milage, and safer setup.

Curious why the engine isnt making power past 4800rpm.

uh, granted it isnt dropping half the boost but its still dropping a few psi. its spiking to 10, but i wonder what it would do if that spike wasnt there and it was set for 8.5, would it hold 8.5 or drop to 7 or so?

i played with my ebc today, put it on auto and changed the gain some. it holds a lot better, does similar to this one, it goes up to 9 at around 3500, holds 9 until about 6000, then drops to around 7.8-8. so its only dropping about 1-1.2psi. feels much better. but still drops.

good job MRC, cant wait till the tune.

An EBC will help boost drops some, but most of the issue is with the wasegate spring being improperly set...We have the tension set close, due to having a stock exhaust on the car prior..We need to loosen the tension a bit then play with duty cycle within the unichip to solve this spike issue completely..

Looks like someone on this continent has finally managed to get the system to work as the APS advertised.
Kudos to MRC...

No I did not hear of them...
My opinion of the APS ST has improved tenfold after reading this thread.
I have honestly thought that this kit was something that Peter has pulled out of his **** after a 2 week long Foster beer bender to grab a piece of action away from TN, but it looks like that kit just needs a capable installer to work right...

Not to say that I am still considering an FI kit for my Z...

$hit, man, body kit, 4 wheel BBK, a conservative FI setup, now interior tweaks, this is going to one of more well rounded Z's on the forum.

Dude, TT is a TT and an ST is an ST. If you decide to save $$ and get an ST, but then you decide that you want a TT performance out of it, expect to blow $hit up. My opinion at least.

A turd? You want to talk turds...The compeditors turbo kit if FAR lees quality and is manufacutred in MEXICO and has a much higer failure rate as far as components go. Thats why they have a hassle free warranty.
Some of the major things I dislike about the compeditors kit is Steel piping, that rusts inside, poor placement of turbo, longer piping to reach the actual turbo, poor engine management, undersized and inadaquate fuel system, small intercooler, higher air intake temps due to turbo placement, poor unfinished welds on the inside of the piping..ect ect..I could go on for days...

Wow you must not be talking about the Turbonetics kit. All those parts are made in house in Cali. Anyone who went to the open house could have told you that Your statements are absolutely ridiculous. BTW all stainless piping can rust. Its just surface rust that can be easily removed. But I guess you know that too right?
