Thanks Ed for the great customer service. I'll do some more research on the "pigeon" and report back.

Interesting!!!

I am starting to think it's not the BlowOffValve. It just doesn't seem like the sound is coming from all the way up front.

Could it be gear whine? I know some people have had gear whine from the trans in certain gears and the same from the diff if the backlash wasn't set right when new final drives were installed.

OK this is going to sound retarded but heres something you can do to check if its the bov. Put a piece of hose (garden would work) in the BOV horn. Run it into the car and listen to the end of it. Drive around to reproduce the noise and listen to see if you can hear it in the hose. I used that to check mine.

what confunses me is that it only happens when I am only into light boost. Doesn't happen if the manifold pressure is medium to high. Doesn't happen if you are still in vacuum or 0 pressure.

I still think its the BOV. Normally when boost comes on it holds the BOV closed with the aid of the preload spring. If the preload spring is not set right or is failing or if the diaphram is bad the BOV will not fully seal causing some air to vent out during light boost. When higher boost pressure is reached the BOV finally seals closed and the noise is gone.

it is not leaking out under light boost.

The "pigeon cooing" happens when I let off the throttle at light boost. I don't get the noise under acceleration.
