yeah man I had two exams on monday and tuesday and I couldn't study on sunday cuz of the superbowl. wish i coulda been there though. It would be awesome to be able to do a comparison between your stillen and his vortech. Yours is a stage 2 right now right? and is his running the stock pulley?

Seriously. I can't think of a single more interesting FI video and topic ATM than that.

remember back in august 2003 there was really nothing for me to choose from, but now there are a ton of different options.imo save up and go with the jwt twins.i think in the long run you will be happier cause i want more power all the time.it just is not cost efficient for me to change over even if i do sell the kit.

Last set of tires lasted 9 months/26,000 miles (March 06 - Jan 07)! I drive my car, not cruise in it!I think stillen fits my mold, more than anything. I do like the APS Single set up for one snail, and the JWT for two snail. However they both have too much HP potential than my life insurance needs to worry about...lol.
That Vortech vs Stillen clip is worth paying for +1! Althought there is a Greddy TT vs Stillen on the web and the Stillen has more punch out the whole, but the TT walks him down. I think there was a .3 diff 1/4 on street tires??? One was "like" 13.0 SC vs 12.8 TT on factory tires!? My car rarely hits 100 mph, but its also rarely straight before 50 mph...lol.

I heard your car leaving bro....LOUD AZZZ SHIZZIL...reminded me of the old SIAMEZE days with open dumps. I tried to catch up to tell you all that Dave was inside with Juan, but you were gone like the wind! LOL. I caught the female driver at the light, but she just looked at me like I was on crack. I think she thought I was trying to MACK...lol. Tell her I was signaling that Dave was still at the shop...lol.
LOL-she was like "do you know who that guy in the G was? He was trying to say something" I told her I had an idea I thought it was you! We had just gone back to pick up a car to go to the bar, I had been with Dave and Juan earlier that day swapping my diff. We should meet up sometime...

If you ever want the JWT set up on your ride, just let me know your price for the DD Stillen. If you have ever ridden with me, you would clearly see that my driving style needs a HP limit! I am sideways at least 3-4 times just on the way to work. And 95% is I395! DOH!

Man After Reading All These Posts Im Definitely Going Back To The Bottle, I Only Hit The Track Once In A Blue Moon Anyway So Its Not Like Im Gonna Squeeze All The Way To Work, Good Info Though.
4SHIZZIL, sounds like your mind is made up, but FWIW, I've had the Stillen (stage 2 and then 4) on for probably ~12,000 miles now. It's a great DD, although I do wish I had some more power on tap every once in a while. Sum total of my maintenance/issues to date is as follows:
1) Changed the small SC belt 2 or 3 times now (I order extra and just have them swapped out when I take the Z in for an oil change). Belts and install if you don't do it yourself not very inexpensive (less than $100)
2) Crack in some sort of seal associated with the fuel pump, which resulted in a big loss of fuel pressure. Not surprisingly, this rendered the Z unable to run. Spent somewhere around $350-400 bucks to get the car towed to the shop from the gas station where it died and to get the seal replaced and reinstalled.
3) Belt squeak - honestly, this has only happened once after I had one of the belts replaced. The squeak was only for the first few minutes after cold start and was solved by having the belt tightened.
So for me anyway, maintenance and downtime have been fairly minor. Obviously other people with similar setups could run into more/fewer issues, but my experience to date in this regard has been good.

As you all are figuring out by now. I have lost many precious things in my short 30.5 years on the planet, so I aimed to keep, protect, and enjoy the things life has afforded me today. Thanks all for the comments and time to post. This is my favorite post...lol. Supercharged by Stillen is coming soon!

im looking at getting a stillen stage 2/3 for my 06 revup. Will the supercharger fit under the 07 hood?
Does anyone have a picture of the full fiberglass or CF hood that still offers? (not the add on cowl)
I understand that stillen has good low end but what about top end to 6800 rpm. Does it really lack that much top end? Other mods id plan to do eventually are headers-stillen true dual. 5/16 spacer, etc. This will probably add to my numbers.
Any input would be appreciated.

From what I hear, the Stillen SC likes backpressure so too many breathing mods will hurt performance. Keep that in mind.
And only the 2 Stillen hoods will fit over the SC. Even on an 07.

2.the stillen has great low-midrange punch,but no top end power....like turbo,s or centrifical s/c,s.
3.headers and a true dual will help a tiny bit with upper end power.....and yes i said a tiny bit.
4.you cannot use any type of plenum spacer with the stillen since it replaces the upper and lower plenum.

The stillen does have top end power over but it is very linear like an N/A car. The other SC/TT/ST kits have more punch up high.
Headers will not help it, you will loose power. I lost a few hp with hf cats and headers are worse. The only way to make more power with headers/cats is to get a smaller higher boost pulley and a re-tune with a new EM.
